On another note, have heard that it is 6 clash days between PL and Grade Cricket. If this is the case then questions need to be asked of the Grade cricket presidents delgation who met with SACA.

If this is the case then why have will still got 4 senior grades in the grade comp. Where are those clubs that have multiple players in PL going to get their numbers from on the clash days?

how many of those clash days will clash with FC commitments?

Picked up, or handed on a platter. Good question, we only have 9, so when State and PL playing, it looks like the bar is closed and all hands on deck.

Just two Saturdays are clashing I believe, so won't have as much of an impact as first thought. Not sure about the one day comp.

Perti's deck will be much improved this year... taken a few years to re plant the correct turf on the square and the oval is in the best condition ive ever seen it for this time of the year!

Wait til TTGFC have 18 teams make finals, a wet September, a delay on black soil...

Nah - no excuses for any deck this year. Starting a fortnight later I believe. Will make a massive difference.

Good to hear.
Nothing better than compliments from the opposition on oval pitch and facilities.

Just a lean FOUR Saturday-Sunday fixtures in the minor round

Plus one dayers and a Sunday T20. And any finals. Hope no A or B Graders work a full week or have families!

Maybe we need an investigation in to why senior players aren't being retained

C/D only have two Sat-Sun and juniors have none. So the number if rounds where you can have proper presentations with all senior and junior teams at the club is very limited.

Knew this was coming when our President confirmed the start date of R1 fixtures. No possible conclusion to it to fit the season in before the beginning of April.

I don't understand why the clubs are so against one day games. In England they only play one day games.

Playing Saturday and Sunday when you work full time basically removes all the enjoyment from playing the game.

Speaking with English club cricketers they don't understand either....

But when you play a majority over 2 days a few 1 dayers compromise the fixture

But if everyone is playing them and the program just rolls two rounds forward every season, what's the difference?

It's not like you'll always cop bottom teams in one dayers and top teams in two dayers. Swings and roundabouts.
