Yep. Door was slightly open for VH to take 5th spot, now its been kicked off its hinges. They should beat Bays tomorrow and lock in a finals berth.

Congrats to Hutchy let's hope the mudlarks can get up for him tomorrow. While on milestones congrats to the creeks damian (rowdy) James and Strathalbyn's Scott Harding who both played there 250th games last week. All three are great club men well done.

Tigers beat Strath by 16 points today to celebrate Kym Hosking's 200th A grade game in style. Good script writing that! ;)

So the amazing season continues! 5th spot goes down to the last round and Creek are still a chance to steal 3rd with Strath losing and facing Bays next week.

They had 5 or 6. With Welsh out I reckon most clubs would back themselves in. And VH did just beat creeks the week before.

Certainly has been one of the most unpredictable seasons for just about ever me thinks. Strath seems as if it cant make up its mind as to whether they want the double chance or not. Have left the door open for the Creeks now but presume next weeks results will go to script at your peril. One wouldn't think the Bays would take their foot off the throttle against Strath next week with players looking to impress to hold their spot come finals and would probably want a hard hit out with the week off to follow. As for Strath, they were belted by the bays in the 1st round and havent done a lot to suggest they'll reverse the result.
Creeks started very slowly but gathered momentum from round 7 onwards and were low flying there for 3 - 4 weeks but have now hit a bit of a flat spot again as injuries have curtailed them somewhat with not a lot of quality to replace them. Hammered Yank over there in the 1st round but are no certainties this time. Depends a lot on the ins and outs for both teams this result.
Almost given up on framing a market for the flag such as the fortunes of several teams flucuate from week to week. Only constant is that the Bays remain a very solid favorite in my eyes to take it out.
Bays $1.75
Willunga $2.40
Creeks $5.25
Strath $17.00
Victor $51.00
Goolwa/Pt. Elliot $201

I count 4 of their best out, same for us (if I ignore the ones that have left etc). But you are right, it was our big chance to get them after such a good showing against Creek. I didn't get there but the scores imply we were terrible in front of goal - 3-7 in the first and 1-5 in the 3rd.

Page 2 of Sunday Mail has a photo of Mt Compass Oval showing the under 17s running off the ground at end of the game.

Wouldn't have been much fun for the lads playing in hail.

yeah, sorry it was you fiftympenalty. kickittome probably got it right too. I said a few weeks ago that Yank could end up shaping the final 5 and they get another chance this week against Creeks. The boys could be playing for another 'big reason' on saturday, so Creeks should not take them lightly. :D
