We can all see that David came on here expecting us to roll over and part our cheeks (accept the AFC in the SANFL) like the SANFL league directors did and when he tried to buy us a few drinks (by stroking our hair and telling us it will be ok) he soon realised that he was up against it and his tone became smarmy and unpalatable as the decision grew clearer.

He wont be back. The next time you're in here and see "guest" listed on the bottom of the page it will be most likely him with a little smirk on his face.

Ethel and Mavis' apricot slices will no doubt be all over Norwood Oval in the middle of next winter as the lovely boys play the Redlegs in the depths of winter while the Crow boys trade blows with West Coast at Subiaco. Oh, make no mistakes those Crow fans will flock to see the seconds play.

Meanwhile Mr.Trigg can sleep well at night knowing he has lied point blank to the South Australian football community twice in 6 months.

I would say he got sick of answering the stupid questions & the same questions over & over. It's done now, time to move on.

Will the PR guy from Port come on here & answer questions & will you have a go at him if he doesn't answer every question, no matter how stupid or aggressive they are.

Having done so, he then chimed in with smart-arse responses to aggressive/insulting comments made by people who were, in part, frustrated that he wouldn't answer questions. Again, if you deny that, you either haven't bothered going through the thread or you can't read.

It's up to Port if their PR guy comes on here to answer forum users' questions. But if he does, then it's a waste of everyone's time if he comes on just trying to feed the chooks (as Joh used to say) and then protests, 'no fair, don't expect me to actually answer your questions, you guys are too negative and aggressive' once he gets a few that can't be answered with spin or easy lies that he knows he won't be caught out on until it's too late.

I did read the whole thread & saw quite a few answers from the adelaidefc user (in fact 74 replies up until page 16, if you deny that then you either haven't bothered going through the thread or you can't read) which I assumed was David from the crows. My apologies if that wasn't him, I take it all back.
The bit about the Port PR guy coming on was more to make sure Booney & PAFC, in fact all Port supporters will be as hard on him or her as they are on the crows for not answering all questions no matter how stupid, repetitive or aggressive they are.
I admire the AFC for coming on here (not as an alias as most people do) & trying to answer questions & putting up with this sh!t. I also don't agree with all the crows are doing but someone has to play devils advocate.
Personally I emailed all non Victorian clubs last year to see if it was possible for them to organise a reserves comp among themselves so as not to affect the SANFL like it will & Port were the only club to reply they are working on something, which as it turns out will affect the SANFL as much as the crows model does. I actually asked that question on this topic (page 9 if you don't believe me) & have just realised it hasn't been answered yet. FFS now I'm pissed as well. F@#$ em I say.

Society would still be in the caveman era with the neanderthal thinking of some people here.
Why don't you even try to understand change and adapt to it and make some positive contributions towards it.

No it is not, however, once it is inevitable then you try to make it work better with some attempts to alleviate any negative impacts rather than just slashing your throat and sitting there in your death throes and lashing out with meaningless insults.

If you are implying that having AFL players in the SANFL lessens the competitive aims, then the current situation of all 9 SANFL Clubs (all containing AFL players) means the SANFL is already a largely meaningless or compromised competition.
Hence, after the AFC & Power have their reserves teams within the SANFL with the other 8 Clubs being "pure" SANFL clubs, then I would suggest that that will actually be a more meaningful competition.
I believe that the SANFL will be strengthened on the field and off the field and its future more assured with more exposure under the format of 8 pure SANFL clubs plus the 2 AFL reserves clubs in it. The kids of the next generation will be more likely to embrace it - otherwise it is destined to slowly whither into a suburban amateur competition much like the local state soccer league has become.

The bland 'stuck in a timewarp' response usually given by any of the pro-yes camp. We actually did not oppose the teams being in the reserves, I guess the refusal of the AFL clubs to even contemplate this was being ultra-progressive. It was change, so therefore must have been good according to you.

Quite the contrary mate, I've been following the SANFL since the late 1950s and i'm both a SAFC member and home & away ticket holder and I've most probably seen more SANFL games than most on here.
We are all entitled to have differing opinions on the issues and nobody can say that any particular result is the correct one - they all have pros and cons.

Resorting to your level of debate: i'ld suggest that you've been off drinking too much Coopers and i'ld back myself anyday to have more clue on what goes on within the SANFL than you do.
