certainly can play no doubt about it...Ash Dunkley seems to get the best out of him. He was tearing the comp apart when he was still in 18's and playing league footy no coincedence that Dunkley was his 18's coach then. Think Fitness would be the main difference in his game the last few years. Always been handy but if your Fit in this comp you are going to be a step ahead.

Lions on top and dominating, I see Austin Monfries played on the weekend, not sure where he has been this year? Who is going to challenge Lions for the flag?

Finals are a different kettle of fish, Lions have been known to capitulate in the heat of Aug/Sept, but the only serious challengers must be Port Augusta sides as the GF is there this year, that would be a major fear of Lions, they would be hoping Sollies make it to force the GF to Pirie.

What don't you think "kinghit"? I stated that the GF is in Augusta this year unless it is a Lions/Sollies GF in which case it will be in Pirie.

Just interested to know how many teams in the SGL have won a premiership and then gone on to win the wooden spoon the very next season? When the last time it was done? South Augusta could be wooden spooners this season if Ports can hold on to the 5th spot

I don't have an answer for you Gill but you got me thinking about other trivial stuff... last years wooden spooners could also go top in the same year as last years Premiers go bottom??? Also if the current top 2 played off in the GF it would be ironic that they were the bottom two the year before.

Hey gill and cox ive done abit of sgl research . The situation you guys are discussing happened in 71 props finished top and finished bottom in 72 , Risdon finished bottom in 78 and top in 79 , willsden top in 86 and then bottom in 87 and West finished bottom in 95 to go top in 96. And the top 2 have never finished bottom 2 the following year and neither for the bottom 2 have never finished top 2 the following year .

Am hearing the same but will the captain and his fellow teammates be able to handle the commitment and discipline required to play under Alan stringer???? Not sure going overseas midway through a season would go down too well!
