Reckon he got the rounds of the ground from the Snouts/ Bays crowd last year then sealed it with a goal, looks like that trend continues.

Sign of things to come, only 1800 at the Bay today.
Would be close to the smallest crowd ever between these two sides

North and Port only got 1600 a few weeks back on a potentially poor weather Saturday and it was on ABC - turned out to be ok day by the time the league started. I have since been told that this was the lowest crowd ever recorded between the two teams.
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Might have been 700-800 at Noarlunga, although I'm sure the "official" figure will be a little higher. Have never seen such a small turn out of opposition supporters at Noarlunga. Not having a go at Port, just calling it as I saw it..

Close to the poorest standard game I've seen.
SAFC- 60 years...
StKFC- 58 years..

It's unfortunate that the SANFL has gone by the wayside but realistically it's the minority of people (as suggested by crowds this weekend) that will be affected.

The next generation of kids won't really know, nor understand about the SANFL and the impact it used to have on us Gen X's, nor what the fuss was about when the changes came (more the shame).

I'm all for a healthy SANFL but the model the SANFL have used doesn't align itself to be healthy. Moreso the model the AFL have let the SANFL run their comp.

If the SANFL were to prosper, they'd need to double or triple the salary cap (and be subsidised by the SANFL or AFL) and draw back players that play outside the SANFL for comparable money.

That's not likely to happen, so we have to move on.

I'm stuffed if I can see how the Crows ressies will bring another 4k to crowds per week but I'll be very happy to be made wrong.

I can see a crowd of something near 4000 if the Crows Ressies were to play a team like Norwood or North or Centrals even the Eagles when the Crows 1st team is playing interstate. There is no way in the world that 4000 or even close to it will happen when the Crows play at Adelaide Oval while their ressies play any of the other 5 clubs.
I wish my remembering was as good as my forgetting
