Just sliding over from River Murray as I am curious about the arm banding of juniors who are playing up a grade, in some leagues on this forum.
I am a bit of a fan of the idea especially for clubs struggling with numbers.
Any chance of a bit of feed back from anyone who has played with the system. I am not really after the "They good enough to play up they good enough to take it" type comment but really keen to hear some constructive pros and cons if anyone has any.
thanks.

yeah rough have coached and played a bit under this rule, whenever you play a junior you always wonder how they will go? the beauty of the arm band gives the umpire some knowledge of their age and how to conduct themselves around them.
have seen some cheap free kicks given to them at times, but you take that on the chin.
they are our future and any development we can give them at early stages will always better them as players.
as for finals, open slather I reckon, we are here for premierships and nobody wants to be gifted/losing one from a kid getting a soft free kick because of an arm band.
the good ones will play anyway and sometimes show the older ones the way!
nothing better than seeing a junior smash in at the contest setting the standard for the rest!!!!

Well 14 rounds down and the ladder is pretty much all locked in place.

Congrats to Bostons on winning their first game of the year yesterday. They must be stoked to get some reward for the effort they have been putting in. Brett would be rapt.

Whats happened to the Eagles????

At centenary yesterday the Dees got up in a generally tight, tough contest on a very heavy ground. At times the skills of both teams was very good considering the conditions. Mallees looked good in patches but did go back into their bad ways in respect to discipline. I didnt have a budget but #3 was very very good (think it is P Lindsay) and Matt Johncock was also a good match for Kayser, their contest was a highlight throughout the day. For the demons it was a good all round performance with G Maxfield, Davidson and Goodwin all very good. Celebrations were quite muted until confirmation of the LS v B game came through, when relisation the important double chance had been won.

This weeks game between LS & MP will be a real non event with the two teams having to shape up against each other the week after in the 1st semi.

Interesting result in the reserves also with the tigers beating the Eags and keeping their finals chance alive at the expense of the peckers.

Yep well done to the Tigers especially after the heartbreak loss against Rangers.
BB that would be Lindsay back after the 30th June under the Mallee Park Rule
happens every year! very good player with SANFL experience.
Good hard game of Footy at the Gary with the wind at about 35knots all day
and the southern end boggy. Rangers got within a few points before the Roosters
got on top, Matt Parker still a class act Roosters well served by Wagner, Kelsh,Semmler.
