How many games will the SANFL clubs reserves play.

At a guess I'm 14, so they get less games less money how are we going to fight off the ammos and country from taking them even more than they are now!!!!

Under 18's same issue.

Under Crows inclusion it would be 16 games

If/when Power reserves take over Magpies it would be 14 (down from 20).

This is unless they have reserves / Under 18 games during split rounds or something
or start their season earlier.

Phew! And here I was thinking I was retarded coz I couldn't get my head around the ridiculous "top-up system."

As in, why the hell would any club bend over backwards to help a rival club on the ground?

Never mind the weekly headache it presents.

Surely the Crows (and Power) will have to put together a Supplementary List of some description to draw?

Guessing South will "opt-out."

Every club should.

"The NFC has deliberated extensively with the SANFL Commission and the two AFL Clubs in an endeavour to convince them of the merit of the current system.
This has been to no avail.

The Adelaide Football Club are adamant that all their listed players will play under one banner from season 2014 and the Port Adelaide Football Club has maintained its view that it wants to retain all of its SANFL conditions and also have its AFL listed players playing under one banner as soon as possible.
The Norwood Football Club Board rejected the Port Adelaide position and after much deliberation supported the proposal that is to be put to the Adelaide Crows re a Support team in the SANFL League Competition from season 2014.

In doing so the NFC Board was able to gain concessions that will significantly assist the Club in maintaining its position in the Competition.[/color]"

Any truth that the SANFL did a deal with Norwood where if we voted YES we would have our recruiting ban for next season lifted and our fine waived?
Am led to believe our recruiting ban is now lifted.
Shameful if thats all it took to buy us out

If that is the case.

Wouldn't Norwood be I'm breach of rule 13.5 that rucci quoted "must vote in the best interests of sa football".

As they appear to be voting yes clearly to improve themselves. I'm not a lawyer and happy to be corrected but wouldn't that be grounds for an injunction on the matter ??? Ala bays/port 1990

Firstly how many other "negotiated concessions" were offered to club to vote yes. ?? Just because other yes voters didn't brag about such concessions in members emails or at info nights doesn't mean they don't exist

Can we expect more "negotiated concession" discussion at yearly reviews to keep afl clubs in SANFL.

More disturbing for me tripodis states "Adelaide" came to the party with "concessions". But not even AFC or the great Steven Trigg could offer an overturn on a SANFL suspension, which 100% proves the SANFL are involved in these back door dealings.

So who gave Chris Daviea the order to over rule the suspension
A) Olsen
B) whicker
C) all of the above

Chris Davies
A) had no dramas agreeing to the request
B) is just considered as a rubbered stamp

I'm going with C & A.

So any lawyers on the site ???

Anyone ???

Maybe burtenshaw can make himself useful and find out ???

it is the best interests of SA FOOTY in this NEW South Australia National Reserves Football League to have every team start on an even basis in relation to drafts and suspensions etc

So would individual suspensions be over ruled . Could be an interesting final series.

It's the best thing for footy in SA. SA just won the U18 championships under a system that was no good. Should win it every year now. Crows will certainly play in a AFL GF in 2014, and expect a Crow v Power GF the year after.

How will and how can the SANFL clubs who are teetering on finacial ruin now compete against a multi million dollar franchise with a different salary cap ??????

How long before playing rules are aligned with AFL rules ????

How long before we are dictated by Channel 7 when and what time to play our games ????

There are still a myraid of unanswered question way too many .
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

IF Norwood's League Director changed his vote because Norwood were given "concessions" for him to do so, would that fit within the SANFL constitution?

The League Director is meant to make a vote as a League Director, independent of the club, in the best interest of the SANFL

I don't know if that is what happened in this case but there is a fair bit of whisper going around atm suggesting it may be the case.
