I have no doubt that an SANFL CEO role isn't an easy gig.

Relatively crap pay, small budgets, small number of employees, diminishing client base, regulatory compliance (ie. SANFL incompetence and AFL interference), etc, etc.
These days it's almost needs to be someone who's passionate, has the skills and sporting, marketing and entertainment background, but doesn't need the financial reward.

Well, well,well...... Now here's a surprise... NOT!
The Eagles do a lot well as a club to have a solid record, especially on the field.
But there are two important areas that need a very serious review by the Board.How we accepted an obvious non footy/sport head to follow Davies when the pay is only average, one day each weekend is totally gone for half a year and he gets no real buzz out of the cut and thrust inside the footy dept.
This guy had zero passion for us or footy and was offered no chance to even develop one, as unlikely as it was going to be.
Square peg in the old round hole this one!
The other area that has been pathetic for years is our old gripe re. recruiting.
For all the Bullshite procedure that went into getting this joke of a CEO, with outside firms getting the candidates, then the special committee to work through the best ones for the board to choose.....
All that effort should have gone into getting a fulltime recruiter, then given the job fulltime to Sell Out Slaven who actually wanted it
Yeh it's easy to sling off after the fact, but quite a few members know our views and the CEO hasn't been stabbed in the back by us basically to give it a chance at least.
It's soooooooooo funny how most of the Board have their heads so far up their clackers, none bother to ask some of the Eagle Diehards anything.... NOTHING What you think you Guys and the Lady know it all do yeh?
Didn't any of you used to watch Chris Davies work the members when he felt like doing so?
Like all clubs we have our comfortable little groups and our Board are no different.
But if you are there to serve the members, you have to interact with them out of your comfort zone occasionly!
It not working with Uby says more about the Board than him.

The league made the mistake of letting Woodville in in the first place. The Eagles gave up too much. Should have called themselves Torrensville not the Woodville West Torrens FC what a mouthful.
