Surely you wouldn't be that stupid, doing that would hurt the club you support financially more than it would hurt the Crows.

How?
The pricks are getting in for free so how is them not turning up going to affect the clubs finances.
Looking forward to all out abuse against the shame of South Australia supporters

If the clubs market it well, we could pick up all the people that have been most shafted by this decision, the loyal supporters from other clubs that dont wish to renew their memberships.
It could turn into the biggest SANFL game on the calendar and it would give a chance for all of us to say **** you, see what could have been. Imagine 6-10000 at one of these games. It could be the one game that everyone makes their plans around and makes sure they dont miss it. Have the U18's play at the same venue as well.
Sat night game at Elizabeth with U18's starting about midday.

Lets get around it!!!

Not at the review in 12/24 months when crowd numbers have dropped and clubs are in even more financial strife.

Centrals can say "what did you expect that's why we voted no"

Vindication!!!

And hopefully by then the weak as piss directors are out on their arse and replaced by guys with some spine and the Cows get kicked out. I believe there will be a yearly review so fingers crossed we only have to put up with them for a year or 2

You keep the tissues mate. With the amount of metaphorical masturbation in the above, you're going to need them.

That rumour has come out your ass I would say.

In that case the definition of "your ass" must be an SANFL press release.

Perhaps he meant it came out of something you can wipe your arse (sic) on?

Can the AFL rubbish be kicked out of the comp at these reviews?

Then we have 12/24 months to demonstrate to the club delegates that the Crows reserves is A Bad Idea.

Who's up for a little bit of civil disobedience?

Yes, Davies stated tonight that its up for review every 12 months.
By the tone of his voice its only a matter of time before curtain raisers to the AFL are introduced aswell

Can I ask what might seem like a stupid question to some (but please humour me anyway - with legit answers from those that remember.)

For those that remember 1963/64 - was this big a stink created by others when it was announced that Centrals and Woodville were joining the league?

I don't know if this is true, but I have always been told that Norwood was going to vote no to this proposal as well and then at the last minute changed their mind and voted yes. Not taking the piss here, this is what my Poppa has always told me, but I haven't been able to confirm. Norwood's last minute change of mind allowed the motion to pass. History repeats?

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

You know what would be great (but never happen).

That during a TV game (or the SANFL GF for maximum effect), both competing clubs have No AFL in the SANFL at the top of their banners ;)

Nice idea, but South and Central aren't drawn to play each other again this year.

As stated in Q&A with UK Fan on our chances of kicking them out "with this commission id like to see us try"

We have years of "you need to give things like this time with some fine tuning we believe blah blah blah..."

By Then it will be to late.

Apachebulldog wrote:OK as a Crow call is faark faark faark i will now call them the FAAAAAARRRRRKKSSSSSSSSSSSS so here is a hypothetical ? for next year what happens if half way thru the year the FAAAAAAARKKS cannot make the AFL finals will their be rules or measures to stop them from stacking their reserves side with senior players in an attempt to win the SANFL GF has this been discussed by Club boards ?????
In the 'Q & A with the AFC!' thread, David Burtenshaw ducked this question faster than a Jeff Thomson bouncer, despite being reminded twice that he had missed it. I hadn't thought that it was anywhere near the hardest question that he was given, but on reflection I can see why: it's the classic 'emperor has no clothes' question, where any answer reveals their spin about 'playing to the line' and 'integrity of the SANFL' for what it is.

Look at what's just happened with the Melbourne FC— with scandals, bans, horrors, and punishments that coincidentally have directly affected the AFC— even though no individual Melbourne player, nor any Melbourne team as a whole, was ever found to have thrown a game or not tried in a game. For the integrity of the AFL competition, the AFC are obliged (on pain of some really nasty stuff) to bust a gut with selections, field placements etc to finish 12th rather than 13th at the end of an unsuccessful year... even if doing so, means that their reserves side in the SANFL will finish 4th rather than 1st.

And neither David nor anyone else from the AFC could ever say anything to indicate or imply otherwise. In reality, nor would they want to say anything different, as even though the draft picks from finishing lower might be nice, they don't give a shit about their reserves winning a SANFL flag. However, as soon as they overtly say that's their policy, the only conclusion is that the AFC will not be doing everything in their power to win a SANFL flag, even if in a position to do so.

Doesn't take long to join the dots and work out what this policy of the AFC—enforced for the integrity of the AFL comp— will mean for the integrity of the SANFL comp.
