Obvious business opportunities/links identified by Envestra by being associated with Unley Oval, the naturally occurring gases (methane) from the Doggy Dos on the oval!

Obvious troll and lame I know but who gives.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

*Bump*

Upfront I am not trolling just some genuine concerns for one of the big four clubs with a significant supporter base.

So next year, based on last weeks game when they had five selected Sturt are going to have to find on an extra $1000 a week to pay players (I base that on them paying the minimum amount for league players $200 not the $400 currently allocated against the cap for each league game played by an AFL listed player). Add to that the amount they play the reserve listed AFL player ATM you are looking at an extra $50 a game.

To be competitive they are going to have pay more to attract the calibre of players they will lose or if he is delisted and stays in Adelaide I'm sure Tambling will want more than $200 a game. So Sturt are going to have arguably find an extra $20 000 a year minimum to put a league side on the field in 2014

That's OK but when you add to it decreased revenue as our SANFL crowds drop and dividend from the SANFL decreases I have some concerns for the future of Sturt with this new world we are entering as there current cash flow issues are well known.

Honestly I don't want Sturt to fall over as given their supporter base is important to the other clubs in match day revenue but I can see some major issues for them and some other existing SANFL clubs in the next five years as revenue streams dry up further.

Fair points, but had Sturt voted 'no' they'd have been even worse off... $50k a year worse off. Hate the decision but understand it.

They wil have to find at least double that based on the NAFC allocation this year for AFL players and the "replacement real money cost" for 2014 and we have well under half per game based on this season compared to the SFC.
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Hope they enjoy playing in front of no one and the loss of $500 in memberships I buy. Hell, they could have said no and still got the money.
