So what are the league directors going to say next year when membership drops by 10-20 percent?

When crowds are down 20-30%?

It'll all be too late.

... and they think they'll get better coverage, all the news will be about the Crows and Power reserves, there'll be no coverage of the local teams and people like Trigg and Slaven and all those gutless wonders will be ousted, but walk away without ever being held accountable for the death of the league.

How many supporters will actually walk away from their club now that it is done and dusted? I doubt too many

It's like winning a premiership but I can say I'm very proud to be a cdfc supporter

I will still buy my club membership every year, I will still spend way to much over grand central, I will vote dave in at the next agm

I will go watch Centrals at Noarlunga but there will be no other away trips for me the rest of the spineless clubs can get ******!!!!!

Centrals are still my love but the SANFL is dead to me!

Trigg should be erased from the history books at the CDFC, he is a slimy, squirmy, weazling ****

The game against the bays will be my last at Prospect. Will be handing back my membership. Hopefully a GF victory will be my last North game. Easier for me being so far away, but I won't be making special trips down next year. No more sanfl on tv in the NT.

When the club admits to hiding financial information from the members, you want me to respect that? Plus I've done a shitload of fundraising for that club in the past, organising events and so on...

I was there with everyone else in the 1990s helping save that club.

Don't let facts get in the way of your usual bullshit .. The fact we were in talks with the VFL throughout the 80's is common knowledge, yet we (annoyingly) stayed loyal unlike your mob. But hey, you just keep making up crap as you go along to try and throw the blame elsewhere, it's the Port way afterall.

It is absolutley appalling and heinous that these so called SANFL directors could treat their own members with such contempt, it absolutely beggars belief.

Suffice to say, this fight is not over yet, just remember the Rabbitohs in the NRL who were kicked out and fought their way back in,

I have a few suggestions for next steps,

1, First off, if you formerly supported the Adelaide Football Club in the AFL, now is the time to tell them to officially Get **** and go find another side to support.

2, Ring your SANFL club and let them know that you will not be renewing your membership, rather than rip it up you may want to hang onto it until the AGM so that you can vote out the board of the club.

3, Boycott the remaining games of the season,

4, Do not eat in any of the clubs that voted yes to the proposal, this year I have been to and organized dinners at the Eagles Club, Grand North and West Adelaide this year, but will simply be going to the local hotels in future.

5, Boycott all the club sponsors, yet be sure to let them know that you will not use their products / services whilst the AFC have a side in the SANFL.

6, Consider supporting the clubs that voted NO in some way, be it via a meal or the use of a sponsor or whatever can work for you.

It is a sad day that the only way may be to bring the club to its knees because of the decision, but sadly that may also be the only way to snap them back into reality, as much as you may not like doing it, you have to be cruel to be kind in the long run of the battle.

Someone should produce a half South, half Central guernsey. I'd wear that to the remaining North matches this year!

"Key points of the agreement include:
- The AFC will pay an annual licence fee of $400,000 ($50,000 per SANFL club) to be indexed;
- The AFC support team will be branded the Adelaide Football Club, will wear an alternate Crows guernsey and will play all its games ‘away’;
- The AFC to have the ability to attract sponsors for its SANFL team (no competing partners of the SANFL competition);
- SANFL clubs can opt in/out of providing top up players to the AFC; and
- The SANFL will conduct a 25-week season with 18 minor round matches, each club playing each other twice."

Um, I thought they were NOT to be known as the Crows?

I thought they said they were NOT to chase sponsors?

Oh OK, so there's rules to being a turncoat now? People who really put it don't do it so they can tell the world about it, they do it to help/save their club, but you've made it clear you walked away from that. Pissweak!

As for my club, they didn't tell me one thing and do another .. ONE person was asked their opinion and gave it, but I always knew he was alone at board level with that opinion. I think I know what their main reasoning is, but I still dont like it.
