A shame that eight directors, who will rank up with Bruce Weber in the SANFL Hall of Infamy, have been so easily rolled.

The only flimsy piece of enlightenment offered by Adelaidefc on here is to talk of the 'bigger bodies' of the SAAFL.
That in itself is just a joke. No disrespect to Div 1 but their fitness and conditioning is well below SANFL league and reserves.

It was always implausible how steadfast against the SANFL reserves the Crows are. To say it is either the league or SAAFL is a false scenario.

The SANFL Reserves would've given the Crows EVERYTHING they are apparently after. It would also have protected the league comp.

It was really all about using the amateurs as a bargaining tool. Threaten to go to another comp and you will suffer was the underlying message to all the league directors.

Part of doing business with the charming Adelaide Football Club.

This is spot on. The last thing they want is to play ammos. We should be calling their bluff instead of bending over.

Royally scr*wing the SANFL league competition appears to be the only viable option then.

It's a pity that the SANFL don't actually see this as an opportunity to get rid of the AFL influence and get SA footy back to the way it used to be.

Get rid of a few rules to attract more of the fans that have been turned off by the changes of the past five or six years. Make the hip-and-shoulder legal again, encourage players to be first to the ball by not penalising them the instant they are tackled, stop calling play-on three seconds after a mark has been taken.

There are a lot of fans out there that like the way the game USED to be played.

I know what I would say. You take reserves off the table I'm taking league of the table.

Remember the charter about best thing for sa footy. How can we be saying we are doing the best thing for sa football when you refuse to discuss all available options ????

I think he will, as a result of voting in line with the straw poll achieved at board level. If Joe votes for what Joe wants, then it would be a NO but I doubt that's going to happen.

the biggest issue I think that will turn fans away after a few matches, is that the umpiring will be all directed by the AFL and all those silly AFL free kicks will be in the SANFL

X2, and gladly. however i suspect that if the vote is more than the "minimum" 6 that they need, but less than unanimous, somehow the crows will decide that their 10)% claim is a "non core promise" and they will still join.

i wish that my club joins the no vote and confirms it to my face this evening. im not holding my breath however...

Do you know how solid the No is?

Is it No with the present conditions but with revised conditions it may swing to a Yes?

Or is it a definite No under absolutely any circumstances?

I hope you are right, just cautiously sceptical that's all.

Surely north fans won't take that garbage and order a SGM .

Surprised the Snouts aren't talked about a SGM already, hopefully they are. Sadly GFC don't provide their constitution on their website so I can't do any digging.

Calling the SGM and getting rid of the board won't change Chiggy's vote but will be a vindictive swipe at him.

So, obviously, go for it. :)

PS If any GFC member does this let me know and I'll join up so I can vote against him, same with NAFC.
