- the club votes yes?
- the club votes no?

Would u go back to the same clothes store if you felt the employees their weren't taking an interest in you as a customer, if they changed the style and types of clothes they sell would u go back if u didnt like the 'new fashion'

If it went from being a little nice boutique to become a supre franchise would you still buy clothes there

Gossip girl desperate. What a surprise!

You'd be many a blokes dream. Go out with the lads on Friday night, sleaze onto every girl possible and come home stinking of perfume with our pants on backwards on a Saturday morning and you'd still have breakfast ready for us. Awesome, but no respect.

Much like your SANFL club will think of you if you continue to blindly pump money into it despite them sh*tting on you.

You don't follow politics then? Off topic, sorry

Political parties holding the reins of power is a given, attending SANFL matches isn't.

That they're happy to alienate their core customers just shows how out of touch they are.

Alas the NO AFL IN SANFL numbers whilst visual are just not strong enough to make most clubs rethink. Just look at this site. Over 5600 members and on this record setting thread that has dominated the site for months how many of these have cared enough to vote against the idea? 111 or less than 2%.
SANFL Clubs see that level of response and conclude opposition is a small but vocal minority.

The Crows self interest has a lot to answer for and I am disgusted by it. I feel like vomiting when I am forced to look at Steven Trigg on my television. The Crows having a reserves side is such a minor issue in the scheme of things and this poor excuse for a human being is willing to prostitute himself to achieve something so lacking in importance to the Crows abject failure as a club.
This poor excuse for a football club is trying to deny thousands of people something they live and die for week in week out and have no interest in watching a hybrid basketball game called AFL.

 youve been drinking your own bath water SDK youve lost the plot

The whole drop in crowd nonsense aside, of course the AFC like Port (who want a reserves side as well) have a self interest. They would be doing their own stakeholders an injustice by not exploring the reserves model which the majoirty of other AFL side believe is best and try and get it in the best possible competition. Ofcourse they will play hard ball initially as is done in any negotiation.

For people to say they would stop supporting their CLUB purely because one side is added is extremely narrow minded and typical change resistance.

Im against the reserves side in the League comp, ressies is fine. I will still pay my Sturt membership each year no matter the outcome.

I dont think an AFC reserves side would dominate the comp, I think Ports model would allow them to dbe far stronger for sure as they would no doubt hang onto quality league players while AFC would most probably use ressie standard players.

How many Sturt games a year do you get too?

Re: AFL Reserves Discussion...

Postby LPH » Tue Aug 13, 2013 9:04 pm

This was written in response to the 'Open Letter' that appeared in Foot-e-Times:

Don't be surprised if the vote is not unanimous, something simlar could occur here... Eagles? West? Sturt?

... I have read your document & sounds to be fairly similar to the argument regarding AFL reserve teams in WA made by the AFL clubs here.
The so called evidence provided also claimed increased attendance at all WAFL matches against these teams would result in increased revenue however they could not provide creditable evidence to support their claims.

I support the SANFL efforts to exclude so called AFL reserve teams in your comp however here in WA the presidents of all 9 WAFL clubs at time where supposedly united in their bid to ensure this did not occur in our competition. Despite this so called "united front" it didn't stop the AFL clubs approaching certain other unnamed WAFL clubs & encouraging them to break from the other WAFL clubs and do the "dirty" on all WAFL supporters in effort to gain a competitive/financial edge over the remaining WAFL clubs.

This behaviour was also encouraged by those who where supposed to be WA guardians of football here in WA being the WAFC whose mandate is supposed to be the development of all levels of football in WA not just to the benefit of the AFL clubs. I think if football in SA is setup as in WA with the WAFL clubs license held by WAFC then the approach from the AFL clubs will be similar to the one that occurred here WA.

I hope the SANFL clubs stick together and this does not occur as it did here in WA without the approval of the other 7 WAFL clubs who chose to keep their identity and not sell there soul for financial benefit....

Chiggy will vote YES to Crows

There will be NO members vote.

Chiggy is the delegate and he said it's up to him to make a decision after "taking everything into consideration" not the members

He also said the vote by all the delegates could be as early as this Thursday
