Couple of things:

1. Only parallel example I can think of is when the national soccer league was formed and Adelaide City and West Adelaide played their 2s in the local comp - I think I am right about this.

2. While I never comment on umpires or so-called journalists I will note that Mr Rucci is a profound mischief maker - his comment today about WWT failing against Centrals in GFs last decade - just unnecessary, offensive and, if he was awake at the time (06, 11) untrue! South Australia would benefit from more professional, objective and intelligent sports writing. Jai B's very funny fantasy about Crow reserves playing at Gaza shows there is some talent around.

I agree with that .....the Eagles were really the only team to challenge the Centrals domination of the time.
OK Sturt knocked them off in 2002.
I also thought that comment was totally irrelevant and inappropriate.

Mr Rucci wasn't at the WWT members meeting so once again he makes it all up. I can't understand how he is the "chief sports writer" when there clearly are much better journalists there!!!!

A very reliable source confirmed the following from discussions on Friday The vote now stands at 5-2 with one undecided.
Two club directors changed their mind on Friday.

A list of demands was given to the SANFL on Friday which looks like being met by the Crows.

If all are met they will be over the line and not in the SAAFL.

On this basis two directors have confirmed that they will vote yes.

SAD DAY FOR THE SANFL. HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Thought one of the conditions was that Port has to do the same, both Reserves come in same time or not at all.
If Port decide to stay with status quo then it wont go ahead

It's a done deal with the only issue the 8 sanfl clubs really need to sort out is making sure the Gayfl's don't get near a GF!
The top up players must come from the Ammo's only

Hopefully not.
I will be filthy if Norwood lets any of our players be used as top ups

5-3 would do us nicely, since the Clowns need 6-2 or better.

Name the undecided club, if you can, in order that we might assist in the decision...

Yeah Jim it would suck a penis if that did happen, but thats what I believe the intention is, then again who the hell knows these days. Getting harder to follow because of the piss poor media outlets that cant actually report anything factually if it doesnt sell papers.

The problem will be the young players not getting a league game that are really gifted a league game. That will be the ones that we would have trouble with.

Saw Kochie after the AFL game in Geelong and told him No AFL in the SANFL. The muppet had no idea what I was on about. I told him as a West Adelaide supporter I don't want the crows or power reserves in our competition

I got a dumb look from him and ohhh ok he kept on walking. I don't think the bloke has any idea on the SANFL. They are looking at what Victorian clubs are doing in the VFL and wanting that.

I'm coming to the realisation that as passionate as many of us are about this topic, there are far more people completely apathetic and willing to fall in line. Then there are those who are for it just to put the cherry on top. I hope i'm wrong but it feels to me that this comp is well and truly Fire Trucked!
