Says on SAAFL website he got 10 weeks

10 games for swearing at an umpire does seem excessive but with his record it was always going to be harsh if you put yourself in that position that's what happens.

Total of 31 match suspensions and 2 life bans in a season..... I would think the ten match ban for swearing is the least of United's problems.....

100% agreed.

And the club has dealt with 3 of the trouble makers thus far and in the process of doing everything they can to fix this problem but I can assure you I've seen first hand it isn't an easy problem to fix.

Here's a thought...win enough games so your club isn't forced into relying on everyone elses results.

(Yes I know you've had a crappy injury year but the above wad more a general comment)

Only you can make your own luck.

Sure you only make your own luck, but the units would be a 5 to 7 goals better side at home.

You defend your club well carey and I rate you as a 'friend' so it must be very difficult to change the culture of a club. I don't believe you need to get on the front foot so heavily, as many of us know what you are trying to achieve. As a 'southerner' it's interesting for me to see the many defections from CU to Smithfield and the situation they are now in. Both clubs have similar issues and it must be a nightmare to be in the middle of. Stay strong, clean out the dead wood and do what you do best. Good luck also Saty the mozzies will be watching closely. :)

Rumour has it that a former Mitchell Park coach will be returning out of retirement to coach Yankalilla in 2014. Will this mean a mass exodus from MPFC?

That's a MASSIVE result. I rate CLG and have all year, but wtf is going on at Rossies. Round 15 and undefeated to round 18 and a 20 odd goal smacking. Given WOS's result today they could end up in Div 6 again next year. :(

But anyway, massive game this week v CLG.. Looking like finals has come a week early with plenty on the line for all finals aspirants.. Winner of Rosies CLG earn a week off and all finals as home games.. Winner of WOS and Locks get a double chance.. BOS have the first of 2 possible elimination finals this week, there next loss is there last..

Really starting to crank up now, hopefully the last couple of weeks will act as a learning curve for us and we can turn it around and get back to playing our best.. Up the kennel

Would've thought no mercy is spot on the money!

Well done to the Parky A's on a good finish to the season. Injuries, development, learning how to play together all contributed to a slightly lower the expected position, but that's football. Good result to stay in Div 6 and live to fight again.

The place to to B - as well call ourselves - are now the sole representation of the club for the rest of the year. Given the years and years of floggings its about time we had some success. Looking forward to it.

All the best to the other A Grade sides in the finals. Personally CLG were the best side I saw all year but no-one wants them to win so carn Rosies! :D
