I'm selling Star Wars stuff too... like the memorabilia, it has nothing to do with this, pure coincidence. Plus I'm keeping the stuff that means something to me, but if you're up for a 1937 annual report for example, come and buy! But bottom line is it might be the right time to sell...

We cannot all show blind faith in the club like some... its the apathy in our supporter base that has put us in this diabolical position.

The official vote is tonight I believe. There was a show of hands the other night when just the league directors met... again, so I believe.

Won't be a vote before next Friday at the earliest.

Horrible, weak and shameless abandonment of SA football by the Eagles.
But not at all unexpected from a club that was born from similar circumstances.
They are the Peel Thunder of SA.

Isn't stuff worth more when someone dies? Hang onto it for a couple more years!

It'll be typical if south vote No, I'm moving to Prospect later later his year after being in the southern suburbs for 23 years and at the same time my money could shift from Prospect to Noarlunga!
Might have to join Sheik and Punky down at Fitzroy instead!

His reason for voting yes was that the club would try and use the Crows to boost their junior membership etc. He referred to the fact that he believed it important that there be a 'nexus' between the SANFL and the Crows. However he kept saying that he 'didn't know' how it would all pan out, and admitted that many of the predictions, such as Chapman's prediction that the Crows would get 4,000 every week, were impossible to be sure of at this stage.

Slaven argued that we should not reject change, but in the end he did not really explain why this would be a positive for the club or why we needed to do this. While he did not tell any obvious outright untruths, little of what he said was relevant or reason enough to do something which could seriously threaten the short and long term viability of the club. I sincerely apologize on behalf of my club to all the real SANFL supporters on this site for whom the SANFL is set to be forever sullied by the presence of the VFL reserves teams...

RB, round up enough cats and dogs to call a special general meeting and spill your board.

Pretty sure they've got to be 18 y.o. to sign a spill motion. Although the constitution is silent on whether cat years or human years count...

That may have some truth Harry, but...

Don't tar us all with the same brush.
I have been fighting this since 2011 - some on here have bagged me in the past, "keyboard warrior", "that Eagle supporter in the middle of Woodville Oval", etc.
Many of those have only woken up to the issue this season when it all of a sudden became a reality - perhaps apathy when it was 1st mooted 2 yrs ago has contributed to the current situation, had some others 'come on board' instead of being typically critical, there may have been a different outcome.

BTW, Glenelg are voting Yes too - are they 'weak & shameless'?

An update ... today is not going to be "D-Day: for the reserves decision. The Commission did want to have SANFL club feedback on the model it endorsed two weeks ago but it is expected that discussion will continue. The AFC has not set a deadline for a decision. David

Thanks for the continuous information you supply David, whilst I do not agree with Adelaide entering a team in the SANFL I and many others appreciate your time and efforts on here. Very good job IMHO, its a pity some people in the SANFL didn't take a leaf out of your book.

So whats the difference in what Slaven said last night and what the commission put forward? What changes have been made? Or is it just that Slaven is the better salesman of the same proposal?

And what happened to Norwoods adamant no and the bravado that went with that?

Two clubs - Central and Norwood - want the Magpies' licence to play in the SANFL (that was signed on December 1, 2010) to be revoked.

If this move is successful, the Power would then have no choice but to replicate the Crows with a stand-alone team in the SANFL.

And people try and tell us that theres no more open wounds towards Port Adelaide?

Why does the South vote surprise you, just out of interest? And do you think the club was being honest with this 7-1 count, and wasn't fudging figures so they didn't look like the only bad guys in all this? Would love to know what Centrals and Norwood are thinking.

I strongly doubt centrals will vote yes!!!

That article makes a liar out of Slaven, I would be asking him for some honest truths and if he has lied about the numbers to save face he should lose his job

Feel last night from the board was that they dont want the Adelaide reserves but are compelled to vote yes such that the relevance of the SANFL competion continues (read print and tv media exposure).

Whilst I respect the board for what they have done in the past for WWTFC and they have been very succesful both financially and on the field , I gather from the tone of last night that they have a gun to their head and don't have the will to test whether it is loaded or not.

On that basis I am very disappointed , if the board falls over on this isssue (which they will) , then you might as well hand over total control without any club representation to the SA Football commission.
If at first you don't succeed , then destroy all evidence that you tried in the first place
