GG vs MFC GF

Definitely didn't have five B graders come down, as Johno said we lost three guys up to the B grade. Modbury surprised me how defensive they played in the C grade, they played 1-2 extra blokes in defence right from the first bounce, very hard to score when you have less forwards, our defence had spare guys all day so rebounding was easy. Think you will struggle to get wins against the better sides with that defensive mindset. Not an ideal time to cop big numbers in injury!

We fielded a pretty good side on paper, but we were completely outplayed. Injuries and promotion of guys up the grades don't help, but happens every year in this grade. No excuse, GG were much better on the day and the scoreline showed that.

TEX07 may have missed the boat, but as a team mate he has every right to stress his point. It's not his fault that his committee refuse to do the hard work. What sort of society are we to merely lie down and accept thuggery?

The GG committee are a switched on bunch - and if there was anything remotely in it they'd would've put in an investigation. I very much doubt that their committee would brush something as serious as you're claiming under the carpet.

By no means am I playing down a broken jaw - because that's serious, however I think you'll find that if you spoke to someone from the committee they would tell you that there wasn't wasn't enough evidence to push the casue and it was one of those things that unfortunately happen from time to time in footy.

I dont know - I didn't see it - only going on what I was told so don't shoot the messenger.

Havent heard about Darren Grey (dislocated hip) but he is tough tough bloke and for him to apparently tell the ambo officer his pain was a '6' means the average bloke would have been in tears. hopefully hear something soon on how he is going.

As for Foggy who was split in the head clash, after 4 hours at Modbury Hospital he came back to the club with his lip re attached by a lazy16 stitches (internal and external)

Yeah he's a handy player Foggy and alway putting himself in situations like that, think he has had 2 concussions, broken nose and now the Lip.

I asked the question on Saturday and was told that the lad that got hit could not say for certain if his jaw broke in the tackle which started the scuffle or the actual kinghit he was leaning towards the tackle. The hit wouldn't have helped it but he thinks it wasn't what caused the break. Nonetheless I still think we should have persued it to at the very least show the lad it's not on. Again I'll say the kid is lucky, lucky to be playing and lucky nothing more serious happened, maybe he will learn from it with the correct guidance.

We seem to handle the wet better than most too, we are luck to have some quality players who can't play early games and can't get to training due to work so they are in the C grade.

Tonkin seems to be a class above. I'm assuming he'd be one of the ones you're talking about, otherwise I'm amazed he's not at least a B grader. Probably only sanders from PAOC would get more votes for the medal in the games I've seen.

Age is against Glowy as is his knee.
He has missed the last 3 and is not a certainty for this week either.

We played our home game against Uni at TTG number 2 oval, but that was to try and give our boghole a rest.
FS would know first.
