Broadies should have a few wins there?

But in theory if the results stand, shouldnt the elimination final between flinders park and smithfield be an automatic forfiet too, and parks go straight through?

Correct.

Broadies play Smithfield next week so that would be there other win. Broadies d Smithfield earlier in the year 73-58.

A forfeit final is not good for anyone involved especially the SAAFL! Having said that, the report only stated that Smithfield were deducted 2 comp points, so perhaps a forfeit final is a possibility? However given current ladder and that they aren't playing again this minor round, there is every chance they may well drop out of the 5 anyway with F/Park tied on points and SHOC & F/Uni only a game behind..

It could possibly work out that the crabs A and B grade sides have a simple scenario come the last game. Beat Houghton at home and both grades play finals. Massive from a club that didnt win a game for 3 years.

Houghton B grade can win this week and shut the door on the crabs reserves to avoid an "elimination" game next week.

Houghton A grade will be pressing hard as well against the crabs to try and snatch a home final in the first week of finals!

Correct me if i am wrong but thats how i read it. Does that sound right Q?

Ingle Farm have North Pines in the last round - you want some A graders for your C grade so you can beat Pultney for me?

It is massive for Flinders Uni though, tremendous achievement and have come such a long way! I hope they can make it, and I think Flinders Uni should be quietly confident in the B grade of remaining alive in the finals hunt after this rounds matches..

Dont be such a cock PG and show some sort of respect. A statement like that is not needed and disrespectful to the 21 blokes who play for me each week. Pull your head in.

Mostly.

Our A-Grade must win this week to get a home final. But will also need to beat Flinders Uni to stay second of AV beat FP in R18.

Our B-Grade only needs to win this week to finish fifth. If they lose, they will have to beat Flinders Uni next week to play finals.

If SHOC beat FP this week, it shuts the door on Flinders Uni's A-Grade.

Take nothing away from SHOC or FP -but I reckon it would be the ultimate rise from adversity if the crabs made the finals after not winning a game for yonks.

and we all love a feel good story :D

What if SHOC scrape over the line vs FP and Flinders Uni win by 20+ goals vs Broadview? Percentage should tighten up then its game on Rd 18..

He was offering Ingle Farm A graders for Flinders Uni C grade becuase Ingle Farm are playing us. If a statement made about North Pines is found to be disrespctful to someone from North Pines then thats all that matters. It doesnt matter how it was intended or how someone outside the club looks at it.

They would need to beat Broadies by about 300 points.

Let that be a lesson to you, Port Adelaide Sturt. & Norwood You don't beat Glenelg in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Percentage as stands - SHOC 50.55% : Flinders Uni 46.87%
IF
We took the average points for and against for SHOC and they defeat Flinders Park 82-81 or even if they win but the match result is within a margin of say 15pts then their % will sit somewhere between 50.51% and 50.53% depending on the margin.
THEN IF
Flinders Uni defeat Broadview by Broadviews average scoreline of 46-106 then their percentage will be 48.17%
BUT
If Flinders Uni were able to restrict Broadview to half that, to say a score of say 20 and win by 20 goals then their percentage would sit around about the 49.08% mark - approximately 1.43% behind SHOC

Last round and anything is possible, Uni would need to beat Houghton comfortably but not concede many points, and hope SHOC v Henley was a tightly fought affair.

1st thing is 1st though, Uni would need to put Broadview to the sword this weekend..
