"The NAFC Board will meet tonight to discuss the matter of the AFL Reserves in the SANFL.

The SANFL Board of Directors have only just been given information to be put to our Board for comment.

Once discussed at Board level and examined we will look at what our next step will be.
IE: Members update night, individual meetings or other.

Thanks for your patience
Bohdan Jaworskyj"

At least they are open to 1 on 1 talks as well as a members night.

My mail is Bohdan is still YES with 2 other Board members howevewr 3 others are NO. So there is still hope North could, if the YES men are persuaded, end up being a NO vote at the SANFL table.

The members info night needs heaps to turn up and voice their opinions and not be bullied, bluffed and bullshitted by the Board and CEO.

Every North Adelaide supporter I have spoken to about this issue has said the same thing, NO AFL IN THE SANFL. Are the clubs listening to their own supporters?

Hey, I've already given up on understanding what the club thinks...

Who is the "No AFL in the SANFL" person the club attacked? It must be someone on here...

The only positive I read on the north forum was the game day line up not been affected by late afl changes. If this is the biggest issue and worth the upheaval of the reserves a simpler solution would be don't partake in the mini-draft (or transfer your afl listed players to centrals ;) )

No doubt they would have loved to have picked up Lycett and Broomhead in the last couple of years, but it doesnt always work our perfectly.

If you look at the number of players from the PA country academy who have gone on to play SANFL league footy, it would be a very high percentage compared to other clubs and their country zones.

Maybe it is more due to the good zones they were given - eg how the f*** they got Salisbury north and certain west coast country zones...

Federally Salisbury North is in the Port Adelaide electorate.

I'm starting to think Centrals and Norwood will be the only teams to vote no. Sturt and west will vote yes for financial reasons. North for some stupid reason. Glenelg and Eagles as they have always seemed to have close ties to the crows. South because it can't hurt them either way.

Glenelg and south will be the deciders.

What financial reasons? Added expense for the crows = reduced dividend. Maybe the 20k drop in the salary cap.

Sturt would love a salary cap reduction. Less expense, and would bring the competition back to the field. Then extra income from the license fee from the 2 afl teams to play in the sanfl. Then taking a gamble that the games played against the afl reserve sides will be a good money spinner.

The reduced dividend must have been promised to be replaced with another type of guaranteed payment. Surely the clubs wouldn't have agreed to sell the afl licenses and move from footy park with no dividend.

Though their to need a fair bit in start up costs, their going to need to pay a few transfer fees to replace the players they lose

Good point. Wonder if that will be one of the bargaining points.

Also politically to presidents of financially poor clubs it could be seen as atlesst they are trying to do something for their members.

Can I ask what exactly are going to be presented at these so called information evenings ???? Haven't the crows taken the proposal off the table ???

Eagles are a guaranteed yes vote.

It is not a link to the Crows but a financial decision.

1. Has there been any exact/accurate figure given as to what the Crows propose to pay per year?
2. Has there been a breakdown in that figure for a) License Fee component and b) SANFL participation fee?
