Regardless of what happens throwing urine at players is pure stupidity. The players are not behind this or calling the shots.

Has anyone in football got any respect for Steven Trigg ? No principles after the Rendell/Tippett fiascos, double standards, should be back teaching 6 months ago.
His latest exploit is a cheap trick to blackmail a yes vote saying unless an 8 vote result they will go to the SAAL. In other words even if the Crows win the vote they will play in a vastly inferior league and their younger developing players will be going backwards at a rate of knots compared to where they are now.
One way to stop this intimidation is to have a closed ballot vote so no one club ( or two or three ) is singled out.

The Crows are now the very last club I would follow in the AFL..... they disgust me !

Let me guess, Rowey, Triggy and Roo?

If this is the case its a complete cop out by norwood. The reason for opposing it is to protect the relavence of the league. If the crows get their reserves the sanfl will no longer have any relavence so what does it matter if the sanfl look to punish them in some way? There is nothing the sanfl could do that woukd hurt norwood more than losing a hell of alot of fans because they caved in. In regards to north i i just read on facebook that it takes only 50 sihnatures from members to call an extraordinary general meeting. Surely there are enough north fans out there that care enough to arrange this and oust that rotten president.

Personally I think we should have the right as club members to know which way our club has voted

Come on SANFL directors time to cut the AFL ties!!.
1) Sell the licenses back - let the Crows and Power finances and performance be an AFL problem. Let them bail them out as they do with the some of the Victorian teams. The SANFL could then no longer be blamed for holding these teams back etc. as they are by the uninformed masses at the moment. The license sale is now being negotiated.
2) From memory about 30 corporate boxes are the SMAs at Adelaide Oval as well as an entertainment facility of about 6 bars, located along the wing in the Eastern stand. They should derive significant income from Adelaide Oval.
3) Recall outstanding loans from PAFC and Crows (if applicable)
4) Lease the footy park training facility and oval to the Crows
5) Develop the West Lakes land.
6) Charge the Crows to play in the reserves. Charge the power to allow its current players to play in the SANFL (as it currently stands). Or kick all AFL players out as it no longer matters to the SANFL what it costs the AFL teams.
7) increase the salary cap of the SANFL to improve the standard. It will assist in attracting and retaining quality players.
8) Tell the AFL they can keep their $1m contribution to the SANFL and they have no influence over our competition.
9) The AFL, Crows and power will still have to have a presence supporting "grass roots football".
10) Call their bluff!! Who really is in the strongest position? Why fold for less than $80,000 (according to John "sell out" Olsen on 5AA tonight).
DEFINITELY NO AFL IN THE SANFL. Time to set the SANFL up for the next 130 years.

Otherwise, they'll think the No AFL in the SANFL is just a bunch of noise with no clout behind it... meaning AFL Reserves are a certainty.

Any NAFC supporter got the bottle to do this?

Hope so.

Because if you believe what the Adevertiser says all the SANFL clubs are on board except Norwood. Its funny you saying that though i just read a commment on Adelaide now that suggested that Norwood should leave the SANFL and go and play in the SAAFL. Personally this is what i would like to see happen in the event that the crows and power get their reserves sides. I can handle Norwood playing at a lesser level because my needs are only that Norwood exist in their own right and play in a meaningful competition. don't really give a **** abou the standard of play to be honest.

Agreed.
I'd rather we had half the salary cap but still played in a competition with integrity.

In a comp where each grade has clubs who pay players loads and clubs who pay players nothing

Integrity?

Come on Booney, if it's good enough for Triggy and his Crows then it's surely good enough for Norwood...

Heard Olsen on 5AA today and he was asked about the financial side. I think the knuckleheads mentioned a figure of about $80k for each SANFL club and Olsen suggested that it wasn't going to be that much.

The financial side is not the priority according to Olsen.

Also he said that not approving the proposal had a big downside, without actually articulating what the faark it would be.

What a frigging muppet.

Foolish like when buying a property without telling the board and not checking how it was zoned until after the settlement?
