Ive heard from 3 differant people this afternoon saying Norwood will vote YES.
General consensus is that Norwood doesnt want to be seen as the lone resistance and if we are the only ones who vote NO and the Cows get in we could be singled out. Dont forget that Norwood dont have a recent good history with the league.
I just hope we stand firm

I have full faith that Joe will save us all. And according to Steven Trigg, his vote is now all that's needed. Although I think you'll find at least a couple of other clubs are having second thoughts.

Looks like North are a Yes going from Ch 10 news.

Not yet but certainly our President has been conned and is supporting it now but I know at least 3 of the Board are No based on what has been proposed so with a bit of luck a couple of others who have also said No in the past will stay that way so the NAFC vote NO overall.

Trouble is I don't trust that our President would support the NAFC NO vote and he will vote yes at the League table anyway.

If the NAFC President looks like he's changed his mind, per my earlier idea, people need to look at least one club (maybe NAFC) having an EGM called for by it's members to 'shoot a warning shot across the bow' of any other president who looks like voting yes.

Otherwise, they'll think the No AFL in the SANFL is just a bunch of noise with no clout behind it... meaning AFL Reserves are a certainty.

I imagine most clubs would have to give at least 14 days notice of any Special General Meeting and the vote is 9 days away.

I know this is an emotional time but promoting violence at football games is definitely not the right path to take.

They need 6 votes but Trigg has today said they wouldn't come in unless they got all 8 - if you believe him ...

I think Trigg is trying to call the commissions bluff. Hes got a pair of 8's and has just gone all in.

How many home games does a club get now? Is it 11? so how does 10games equal more funds for each club?

It is 10, but it is 10 against real clubs.
With this proposal it is 7 plus 3 mickey mouse trial games (2 vs "Ravens", 1 vs Port)

That brings up another question: who will make money (gate receipts, catering, etc) from the "Port" home games? Can't see the Clowns being happy if the Smears make money out of the SANFL.

Won't be an issue. PAFC have said they don't want a Team as per the commission endorsed proposal. Crows now fighting this alone.

Hopefully one of the league directors has the balls to vote no and Trigg should be forced to back up his statement from today.

Unfortunately so many were more focused on heaping cr@p on Port Adelaide for rejecting it. Ironically this is the very same dung you're now earmarking for the $ANFL.

Same reason we were heaping crap on the Crows.
