Because if you believe what the Adevertiser says all the SANFL clubs are on board except Norwood. Its funny you saying that though i just read a commment on Adelaide now that suggested that Norwood should leave the SANFL and go and play in the SAAFL. Personally this is what i would like to see happen in the event that the crows and power get their reserves sides. I can handle Norwood playing at a lesser level because my needs are only that Norwood exist in their own right and play in a meaningful competition. don't really give a **** abou the standard of play to be honest.

Agreed.

I'd rather we had half the salary cap but still played in a competition with integrity.

You'll only need a fraction of that salary cap once all your League players up and leave because they consider themselves too good to be playing Ammos.

But if that's what works for you......?

Head down the path the Crows propose and, who knows, the SAAFL might end up being a better standard of competition...

So the commission, the people entrusted to make decisions in the best interests of not only football but the football community in South Australia just troubled Champion Data with a stat.

They've handballed the biggest (or second biggest) decision to people who will unlikely ever see eye to eye. Club directors who have the interests of their own club first. We might hope they put the league ahead of club, but I'm sure those in a poor financial state see the "promised" dollars as something too good to refuse.

On the above, maybe Channel 9 did see something coming? ( Re : amatuers )

Like the disparity in what the AFL Reserves side would be paying their players as opposed to the rest of the SANFL clubs?

So they'd rather play in the SAAFl rather than the SANFL reserves??

I still think having both the AFl clubs playing in the SANFLreserves is the best outcome.

Magpies retain their zone and their reserves team is the Powers reserves team.
SANFL club with the bye have their ressies play the Crows.

Shorten the season if you want.
AFL clubs aren't encumbered to "play to the line" in the ressies - players can be restered and develooped as they the AFL clubs see fit.
No license fees involved for the AFL clubs

SANFL reserves craps all over the SAAFL and NEAFL in standard

IMO of course
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

If the Crows did go to the SAAFL, what $$$$ would flow there?
They would have to offer SAAFL something...

Crows in the SAAFL? Believe it when I see it. I think the luckiest man in football, Trigg, is bluffing.

SAAFL would be a good outcome if the SAAFL are happy with it.

At the end of the day it is about the Crows having somewhere where their 12 players that are available that don't get picked can play. If that is the SAAFL instead of SANFL Reserves then so be it. No big deal.

Given their current inuries - how many of their list would actually line up in one team this week as an example?

Pretty sure to enter a club in the SAAFL the club must first start in the lowest division and work their way up?

Just ask Blackfriars OS........

I realise this is not practical regarding the budgies BUT I imagine PHOS Camden, Broadview, Port Districts and Portland, just to name a few, would not be overly enthusiastic about the Budgies entering Div 1 ammos.

And then I would guess that the Budgies would expect to be immune from relegation to Div 2 IF they did finish in the bottom 2?
I hate Full Back.....................
