Most definitely! Not so much a drama queen, either. Chalk and cheese those girls.
Literally minutes ago they agreed on the closing song.
Now for the other two...

Brother-in-law carked it the other day.
His daughters (my nieces) are fighting over which songs to play.
One wants to play song her old man's favourite songs.
The other has obviously Googled "most popular funeral songs."
And I've unwittingly become the funeral song ref!

No Regret (Edith Piaf). The old man lived a life of no regrets and after he split up with my mum 20+ years ago he brought her CD and used to bellow out that song after a few scotch's. This was played as people were being seated.
True Blue (John Williamson). He bought his CD instantly after he heard that song, he couldn't be any more aussie than what he was. An absolute larrikin. This was played during a photo tribute.
Working Class Man (Jimmy Barnes). My old man has never set foot in a centrelink office, if he lost a job he would simply go out and get a new one by cold calling, I can never remember him not having a job. He liked Jimmy aswell.
F@#$ I miss him.

I know it might sound morbid, but since my great-grandmother passed a couple of weeks ago, I've been thinking what I want in a funeral a fair bit. I really want it to be an uplifting, happy event, more like a party.

Don't think about it too much - it can get in the way of living your life
