Nice comment

Nothing to do with anything else apart from we were the worst I've seen us in my 2 years and credit to Mitchell park for being very good.

Plenty could be said about the day as a whole but the cold hard facts are these;

Central United tried to play like millionaires and to Mitchell parks credit they were made to look like dole bludgers

Well played MP one side wanted the win more than the other.

And to be honest that margin flatters us no end.

Worst I've seen us in my 2 years. I'd expect plenty of changes this week

Great game at CLG on saturday played in very good spirits. One of the CLG blokes even told the umpires after the game that there was nothing in the push and shove that resulted in one of our guys getting sent off. Umpires didnt want to hear it but I appreciated the effort.

it was a cracking game mate..as was the game at glandore previously..sherwood showed his class and experience all day and it looked like you guys had done enough but the lions kept coming with determination and got ahead when it counted..we rate WOSFC highly and realise they will be a tough nut to crack if we meet in the finals which looks probable..yellow card incident was perhaps seen incorrectly by the umpire i was told..

I wasn't there Zed, probably one of the reasons they lost as I was there the week before and they won ....

Nonetheless, from what I heard during a poker game debrief last night was this - BOS ahead 6.10 to 0.4 or thereabouts mid to late 2nd quarter, ML get a couple before the main break, a few more in the third to trail by 9 points and kick with the wind to slot 7 to zip in the last. ML too good and never gave up kicking 15 of the last 18 goals. BOS not good enough to kick straight or stay in front.

I will be attending this week to get them over the line.

Big triple header Saturday for Mitchell Pk against Lockleys. Looking forward to watching all games. 3rd v 4th in the C's and the Lions look to be struggling a bit of late, 2nd v 3rd in the reserves, should be a cracker and in the A's, 4th placed Lockleys will more than likely be too strong, but it is the 'den' and MP are good at home. Have coached a couple of the Locks lads so I am pumped to watch from the sidelines. Good luck to both clubs. :)

I'd also like to wish Rosewater all the best for their big day against the Mozzies. Interesting that one, Rossies lost to BOS and ML beat BOS. Maybe a let down for BOS and Rossies are coming off a bye. Reckon it will be a great game so if you support either club you should get there.

“We are only as strong as we are united and as weak as we are divided.”

Overall Talent LFC have plenty, but good old fashion Team Footy will beat individual talent all day, every day.

If the Lions work hard as a unit the Demons will be in trouble. If the Dees start working together as a unit and don't rely on one or two individuals to carry the Club, they could shake the whole competition.

Pretty simple really, contested footy by a whole TEAM wins Big Games and Finals.

Individuals, no matter how good or talented they are, very rarely win matches off their own boot at the business end of the year.

Looking forward to seeing who can FOCUS, LEAD and PRODUCE CONTESTED TEAM FOOTY for 4 Quarters.

This could be a lot closer than people think, I would never underestimate a Lion in his Den.

I hope your wrong but LFC are very susceptible away from Rutland and if some of them spot a Goatee and a Tatt or two...they often go missing. And of course there's a fair chance you'll spot a couple at Quick Road. ;)

Time to stand up and realise toughness is measured when your eye is on the ball.

Contest all day, protect the ball carrier, run in numbers and play good old fashioned Team Footy. Whoever is prepared to do that, Will Win. 8)

Oops, too many quotes hahaha. Tats at the den are compulsory DD and there is hundreds of them. The goaties are more like dragon beards. The club even has its own tattoo artist so the Locks boys could get a couple before the game if they wish. Seriously tho, Lockleys have a good record at moreland avenue and should win. By the way quick road is where the bretho unit sits.

I can't remember lockleys winning at the den in recent years. Mitchell park winning on both occasions in the 2000's

Was 2009 or 2010 in Div6. Locks won by 20 odd goals and reckon they played West Croydon (I think) in the GF that year. Mind you I think the only MP players left from that team would be the Macca twins, Rayson and Lindholm. ;)
