Johnstone will be a huge loss for them.
If they can cover his loss they are a huge threat to us.
Dont have too many weak links and and they are great to watch

May be a big loss or may not be? Lewis went down just after 1/4 time in our win over Nwd in Round 6. He then missed the games between Round 7 and 12 a total of 5 games plus a bye. We won 3 of the games he missed. He came back for the "Umpires" win for the Eagles at Woodville. Bearing in mind he has had to play 2nd ruck for almost the last 3 games including 3 and half quarters as first ruck against Glenelg so that negated his fwd influence to a degree but hasn't hurt the side overall. Since he has been back we have had no D. Stewart who has missed the last 4 after a BOG against Sturt. He should be a reasonable replacement for him this week I would think as a dominant SANFL Fwd who also rucks.

Come finals and assuming Port "release" D. Stewart (which they didn't last year) the thought of Johnston, Langford and Stewart as talls on a big ground and in dry weather will be a very hard fwd line to match on.
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

I can't see Stewart being released to play finals. As he is out of contract and will be trade bait for them. He gets injured badly and he is worth nothing

First term was reasonable after the first 5 mins. Gifted the Roosters 2 or 3 goals early in the second after fiddling around with the footy at half forward, turning it over, and then getting torched going the other way. The third term was downright embarrassing, with a complete lack of pressure applied to the North midfielders who waltzed inside 50 like it was a training run. By the forth term I was just waiting to go home and lost any real interest in the game. I guess the goal to Wundke was something you don’t see every week. North’s foot skills were excellent, albeit under little pressure at times. Chalk and cheese when compared to ours.

Concerning when a 17yo midget (with all due respect) playing his 6th or 7th game can show up the rest of his senior team mates when it comes to pressuring the opposition and using the ball with some poise and confidence.

The crowd felt a little bigger than the 2400 reported. Kept an eye out for the petition(s) but missed out unfortunately.

Good crowd for a North vs. South game - the best in a number of years that I can recall.

Saintal - your comments re Caleb Daniel are spot on - he must be the smallest in height (Ben Williams would give him a run for being a midget!) and build in the SANFL but he played very well. He is gutsy and showed lots of poise.

Sturt were a competitive unit and played in the elimination final in 2007 JTC, I don't think they suffered any 100+ point losses that year.

2006 was a different story, Sturt were beaten by 100+ on a few occasions towards the end of B. Phillips reign although I don't think North can lay claim to beating Sturt by 100+ since the early-mid nineties.

Beaten at Unley during the Brodie care taker period by 100+ a few times. South kicked a huge score thanks to the money men, Cupido, Tuckey and others.

Yep, Round 20 2006, the last time South won by 100+. Warren kicked a bag from memory in a score of 29.12. We kicked some ridiculous scores in the back half of 2006. Have lost 7 games by triple digits since then, and another by 99. Sturt reversed the 2006 result with a 110 point thumping of their own when the clubs met at Unley in 2007.

Getting off track is better than talking about the present day

Our 2006 team was infinitely better than the current model!
The year after it turned to crap though!
Let's hope our Model for 2014 will be more competetive!!
