I say this because you give the most important issue a bigger wide berth then the Titanic or Passador
RECRUITING HAS BEEN GARBAGE ..... Please comment away!

Recruiting hasn't been garbage IMO. Maybe not great but not garbage. I hardly think there's much point in talking about recruiting till the season's over anyway. Fact is, we've played a couple of great games this year and a few bad ones. Inconsistency has been a huge problem, but we're still well placed, level on wins and losses with Westies, and with a squad that is I think capable of at least challenging for the flag - why the negativity H78? :(

Come on, humour me, make an effort and describe how the list of recruits hasn't been shite?
Are you saying seven duds replaced by seven decent players wouldn't have us way better off?
Your polishing it mate and you know it!
Oh and it's my opinion that Goldy was just as good now as he was in 2011, especially his skills

Well no shite, if we'd recruited Gablett and Patty Dangerfield we'd be far better off. Realistically though, one guy like Ainger and a couple of project players isn't such a bad year for recruiting. When we got Ben Greiger for example, there would have been many who'd described it as a 'dud' recruit. On the other hand, Robert Eddy, after playing in an AFL GF, was lauded as a fantastic addition to our team, and look what happened. All SANFL clubs operate under limitations re recruiting, and you have some good years and bad years. FWIW I would give us a C- or B+ for recruiting for this season.

By far and away, our inconsistency has been the biggest issue for us. Yes, I think we need a fast midfielder for next season etc., but we're % only off third place Holden! When we've got a squad capable of attaining 4th place at the beginning of August, recruiting is not what I'd be lamenting.

Credit to Sturt, they appear to be traveling in the right direction.

We will play in the Elimination Final - not sure we can go much further.
Also not sure Godden can take us much further to be honest - inconsistency is a problem.

probably against Us, unless We lose nearly every game from now on.

Ohh Toddle Pip then LEH, hopefully for you your team & coach don't read your negativety and give the rest of the year in that easily.
Failure is only the opportunity to begin again more intelligently.

Byron Sumner (Eagles)
has decided to challenge his two-match ban for striking Sturt's Michael Coad. WTF!?

Scott Lewis (Eagles)
has accepted a one-match ban for making forceful front-on contact with Sturt's Tom Hurley.

I would have called the latter a charging offence in the old days...regardless it was more than a bit crude and one match seems fitting.

Ok my friend, I do see where you are coming from but really, a B+ ??? Just because of Ainger you can not say that Godden and Hentchel have done so well getting one quality A grade recruit.
I agree with C- and that's just my point isn't it! Not good enough and certainly the main reason we have dropped off Norwood's high level of consistant winning football.
Compared to North's recruiting we suck  look at our list of hacks against Dalwood, Langford, Shannon, Clinch, Gordon, Miles and Bennett (gone now)... and there might be more!
Don't tell me they have overtaken us due to coaching or tactics.
Plus it never helps when your midfielders can't put an ounce of pressure on the opposition ie. defense
Our mids are dinosaurs in the modern game where to work both ways is a non negotiable and expected by top coaches and clubs, but not ours
