With percentage becoming important let's hope it doesn't cost you a double chance. Would have kicked more than the 60 points your going to be credited with for the forfeit win.........on current form that is meaning no disrespect to Greenacres.....

Surely they could have got a game permit for their neighbours to play.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Valleys won by 15pts over greenies and I heard the lodge did us a huge favour by beating CBCOC, we are now officially safe from relegation! :D

You would think with div 1 & 1res having a bye this week the umpires would get better, but just getting worse as the season goes on. I now they make mistakes like the players but they are so inconsistent. At least when we use to get umpires like Nev Bassett, Kym Alley etc they umpired the same way all day, just want players want.

SW losing yesterday gives us some breathing space. Didn't see that coming at all.

Good game at harpers yesterday. Only blew open in the last quarter. Expecting the pooraka lad with the bad pony tail hair to be sore today.
Forester split him up the middle with a brilliant bump. Was removed from the ground in hands of trainers. From where I was, very audible groans turned into sobbing. You know it was a good bump when a grown man is literally made to cry.

CBC of 2009 were the most arrogant/mouthy team I've ever played agst.
Smashed us by 30 goals and got on the lip all day. They Lost the GF to the Roo, and went to Div 3.
4 years later headed to Div 5.
Footy has a great way of leveling people.

Great post.

Despite not playing CBC at CBC in 2009 because of injury that was the most embrassing day of football I've probably been involved in, we got absolutely smashed and their crowd laughed at us and gave sh!t it to us all day. I was very glad PAOC won the GF that year, they smashed us too but from memory at least they respected us, not laughing us off the field or giving us lip.

Wouldnt say a fair bump, was more than 5m off the ball.... Ans grown man.... Hes a 16yo kid..... Wasnt a great act, even your captain stating it was late and not needed, but correct on a good entertaining game, young team switched off midway through the 3rd term being infront, and a good side made us pay, wouldnt be writing us off just yet

Not to mention the entertainment they put on for us during the game. The drunk lady with no front teeth dancing for the crowd was quite amusing!

First you build a club that nobody can watch the game from    then you brag about smashing a 16 year old kid.

Forester is just a kid himself, strong kid but would only be just 18. I get your anger at our club based on the juniors, I have a son playing under 6s and would be upset if he was beaten like that at junior level too, not what supposed to happen. This however is senior footy, I guarantee we don't head out and target the younger players, we have a few in our A grade also. The plan is to be able watch under cover from the club but these things take time, I'm ure the president would be happy to discuss all things Golden Grove if you were to come down and ask, but I get the feeling it's easier to complain and pot from afar.

The incident i was thinking of was in the 3rd quarter. Quick handball on the up, your lad lined ours up, ours stood his ground, your's came off second best.

As Tex has said, the lad that layed the bump is 18/19. Nothing malicious in it. Just got him flush. But if your still concerned ill make sure the lads ask for birth certificates of opponents before they engage in anything physical.

Best of luck for finals though. Chatting to one of your boys after the game, the suggestion that you only had 12 at a training session this week across the whole club?

And before we had a clubhouse, people complained about our facilities. Tough crowd to please. Viewing games on the new oval will be undercover once the verandah is built around that side. These things take time and money.

People say the bump is dead but as soon as someone actually nails a good one worth talking about, arms are up about. Enjoy the contest and the physicality it brings. I don't wish illness or injury on anyone.
