Port could keep their juniors and reserves teams but have to play to a points system where they can't load up on SANFL league players but rather use u/18 or reserves players not selected to top up. They could only recruit players from their recruiting zone and not be able to recruit players from the VFL etc. The crows would have a stand alone team but be aligned with one or two SANFL teams for top up players from their reserves sides paying the club and players for their use.

What about the disrespect to every player in the last 150 years that have earnt their league games.
By using unwanted reserves players and U18's you are gifting them league games

Sorry Cutterman I did reply to your post but I went to take my dog for a walk and forgot to hit submit. Thank you for your reply and I didn't know that about the sturt club. Your thoughts were very helpful, I have had a lot of people to reply to and I didn't realise I missed yours.

The fact you did not know that Sturt have massive setup costs for home games shows your level of knowledge of the SANFL. Remarkable when people who have absolutely no idea what they are talking about insist they are right. Are you Rob Chapman?

supplying top up players to your opposition should be well and truly finished by Primary School, just another example of the complete disrespect the Crows show towards a semi professional sporting organisation

3/ How many AFL games do you attend a year?

4/ How many SANFL games do you attend?

5/ If you support a SA based AFL side, who will you support when they play your SANFL team?

I'd be interested in seeing what responses you give compared to those that don't want them in

Not that I really want this to go through, but anyway:

1) Member, Season Ticket holder & Sponsor

2) Member & Home game holder

3) 10-12

4) 2-8

5) Seems I wont have that problem.

Never insisted I was right just trying to hear the other side of the story. The media is one sided as usual so it's a little to hear all sides.

Yet you've heard the other side of the story and still think your questions haven't been answered. It's fine to have your opinion. Your allegiance is to the Crows and you want what is best for them. The problem that is faced for you is that people who still have their allegiance to their SANFL clubs don't see it the same way. What has been said many times before in this thread but not acknowledged by the pro AFL reserves people is this one simple fact: It is not up to the SANFL to give reasons why Port and the Crows can't have reserves sides in the SANFL, it is up to those clubs to produce a valid reason why the SANFL should let them in.

Seriously, if someone wanted to live in my house i don't have to give them a reason why i won't let them.

Well that says it all D14 you are not a true and loyal supporter of the SANFL like the rest of the posters on this site

If you have not got the time to read all the posts on this topic nick off.

Before i go i will give you some stats

WAFL destroyed average crowds lees than 2,000 per game

VFL destroyed average crowds of 2,000 per game

VFL Grand Final attendances over the last 10 years half of the SANFL

The VFL is the pseudo AFL reserves competition and in a city with FOUR times the population of Adelaide and can only muster pathetic crowds.

The above stats say it all.

No one gives a rats arse about AFL RESERVES.

We do not want to risk the destruction of the SANFL just to please and benefit two Afl teams..

So once again all you AFL followers stick to your competition and leave us all alone

In other words ya all F@#% OFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Hit em hard let them get up and hit em again.

WAFL AFL reserves don't start until 2014. So how did they destroy the WAFL?

VFL has 14 teams competing so more teams to spread crowds plus the 10 AFL clubs from Vic taking crowds.

SANFL crowds were down in 2012 by about 30,000

Also for half my life I was a SANFL member so maybe take some of your own advice

Hmmm the 10 afl clubs take crowds but the 2 afl clubs here will add crowds?
I reckon you were right about the taking, so how would it be different here?

I did google it and I also went through each of the WAFL clubs and they all still have afl listed players playing for them. It doesn't come into full effect until next year.

WAFL VFL SANFL are in ruins since intro of AFL i suggest you check out the WAFL and VFL forums and see what footy fans think and research the stats.

Players have already walked out on one club because of this reserves fiasco in WAFL

So what if there are 14 teams in the pseudo AFL competition in Melbourne.

Melbourne with a population of over four million the home of footy can only average 2,000 per game.

So with a population four times greater than Adelaide why are they not averaging a minimum of 8,000 to 10,000 per game

The stats say it all AFL followers are not interested in watching AFL reserves sides quite simple.

Thats my whole point no one cares about AFL reserves.

The AFL is a voracious beast it destroys anything and everything in its path.

That is beside the point re the full effect until next year, it started this year and look what happened at Peel Thunder only a few weeks ago. Things will only get worse over there.

The VFL turned into the afl so that is where the crowds in vic went. The SANFL submitted 2 teams into the afl, totally different situation to our SANFL.
