You guys would be safe from relegation.

Modbury knocking Kilburn off makes things interesting at the bottom of the table.

Walkerville had a very different side to the one we played in round 2, thought it was interesting that none of the Blokes that came from GAZA played on the weekend.
one Positive for Walkerville is in my oppinion is they have the best tall forward in the comp in Fisher, was very good up forward all day then went in the Middle in the Last Quarter and won a lot of clearances, something they struggled to do all day

Very surprised to see Portlands reserves get a win against Walkies, not an easy thing to do.. Even when depleted Walkies 2's are usually a quality outfit.. Alot of players out the side or did Portland just turn it on?

I would say they had a few players out as the A grade were not at full strength and the filter effect took place, but at the same time a lot of Credit has to go to our blokes who for the first time in a long time played 4 quarters of good footy, there was a very strong wind heavily favouring the club room end and we kicked against it in the first quarter and managed to be up by a goal or so at the first break which i think gave the blokes a lot of confidence for the rest of the day.

Yeh this division is unlucky to cop probably 3 of the worst grounds in the state, being modbury, park 9 and walkerville.

When its wet I agree that our oval is a shocker. Otherwise I reckon Walkerville is a great place to play, and watch, footy ;)

And it starts this week v Modbury, massive game for both clubs. We win this it gives us breathing space, but that depends on whether Kilburn and SHOC both lose

Mate, we had as Pic mentioned, finally put 4 1/4's of football together. I had no doubt this year that we were more competitive and had improved compared to the past 2 seasons. Walkerville had a couple out and brought up a couple C graders. IMO the Cats have numbers and depth acorss all grades. Especially B and C grades where they have been dominant for a long time. The Cats C grade would beat a number of B grade sides out there. In saying that we had 3 C graders and ended up playing with 18 fully fit blokes. One of which came up from the earlier C grade game for us. In all without sounding rediculous we were very much on point the entire game. Not saying the cats weren't but they did not have an answer for anything that we did on Saturday which was nice for a change. Game was played in great spirits and one of the best ive been involved with. No pushing or shoving or anything like that just a decent game of football. I dont suspect the cats dropping another one from here on. Maybe again Vs SHOC. Good luck to them for the rest of the year. It was also great to see some of their B graders hang around for a bit afterwards two. Good bunch of blokes.
