Yep, it's so lucky for a guy like Young who at North last year was developed into a player who was given 11? AFL games yet after being moved to the Magpies has not even gone close to playing well enough to get a look in. Clearly his form has proven North wrong

Our problem is we have too many plodders who have been at the club for 4-5 years and haven't developed enough - Carr, Madden, Grove to name some of them. And still no bloody key forwards. We haven't had a key forward since Joel Perry left.

So your problem is not developing players? Makes sense why big brother wants all their players at the Magpies then.

people keep talking about crowd numbers, the weather is very ordinary at the moment and like in the awful people tend to leave their kids and elderly at home. When ever I get a chance to watch a game these days my wife makes me take my kids with me but right now she would not expect me to take them.

I don't think anyone (particularly those that have been the last few weeks) have any doubt that the main reason for small crows is the weather, add TV coverage the last 2 weeks for the North games and the numbers are bound to be down

Overall Rooster crowds are up this year but league wide the past 6 weeks have been quite poor and the wetter weather has played its part.

400 more than Woodville despite the Torrens v Central game not being on TV and involving two clubs in the top 5. Well done to the 10 Port supporters that rocked up too.

The last time we play the real Pt Adelaide? If so what a way to bid them farewell. As for young Young and Co., Isn,t their "developement coach" Daniel Healy ? Any more need to be said ?

Newton did seem to be one of, if not Ports best on Saturday. Cant please everyone I guess....

Simply had no answers to Norths run from defence and through the middle of the ground. Clearly they have the most potent forward line in the top 3 and will need every bit of that to quell the defensive pressure of West and Norwood come the business end of the season.

Port lacked any options across half forward when the ball did get there. Strange, I thought Raikiwasa could have given us a target at half forward.

North one of the genuine contenders. They might break the long, long, long drought they are in this year.

What's there to comment on, we lost.

Far more satisfying reading offerings from a bunch of obsessive compulsives who are inherently more focused on the performance of my club rather than their own.

It was your home game you clown get your own supporters to turn up before having a crack at the oppoistion side.

Most games involving the magpies have the highest crowd for the round so there travelling supporters are definetly not to blame, pull your head in

Was a pretty good turnout of North fans I thought, both stands were fairly full and all red and white.
Reckon I would have walked past 3 Port fans for the day but hundreds of North fans.
Just watch the ABC replay mate and compare the cheers for when North get goals compared to when Port do in the second half, oh hang on.....
Not that long ago we chalked up the best crowds 4 weeks in a row and 3 of those games didn't involve Port.
Looking at the poorest Port crowd I've ever seen on Saturday I could only feel for those few loyal Magpies fans as their bandwagon mates have obviously jumped off the ship to leave the few loyal ones to drown.

Yes I agree that 22 years is a long, long, long drought especially given that North are statistically the third most successful club in the league. I guess that the most successful club is just at this stage suffering a long, long drought given that it is 14 years since they won a flag.
