He'd have some ripper stories.

Will be a good interview tonight i think. His first 15 minutes of the 82 GF? were huge, kicking a few goals and physically asserting himself on the contest with some solid bumps.

Apparently he was part of a young group of carlton recruits that used to babysit the now deceased Moran brothers (killed in the melbourne "gangland" war) as Judy Morans father was involved with Carlton (unsure how though)- will be interesting to see if Sheehan discusses that.

Yeah one stage he goes on about too much advertising regarding gambling for young people to become involved in and nek minit he talks about giving 50K lines of credit to Travis Johnstone and Daniel Ward.

Straight after Australia went down to England i watched the Dominator episode which i hadnt seen yet. Im not sure if it was the 20 beers i had during the cricket as we got closer and closer but i thought it was superb. It also put the ashes losss into perspective hearing that his son died in his arms. A really interesting story and a very interesting man. Another top line of questioning done in a tasteful manner from "Iron Mike" Sheeeehan

Really?

I didn't get that at all. I thought he was saying pre 2009 it was different to nowadays, whereby now it's much easier to gamble and get yourself in trouble. If you watch an entire game from pre 2009 note the advertising for betting. There is either zero or next to zero. Nowadays it's all over the place.

The only thing I found a little hypocritical about Beasley, was that he was willing admit he was the one owed by Ward and Johnstone, and for how much .. But then later refused to reveal the identity of someone as he didn't think it was fair.

Other than that, a good interview to get further insight into the 80's VFL.

That's because the Herald Sun and the Age both identified those players as having gambling problems and owing money. When those two were mentioned I thought "ok, so the papers got that one right".

Unless I'm missing something, I'm pretty sure we know who the person was he wouldn't reveal - selected in 1998 draft.
