May be a big call, but in my opinion today's win was our best for the season. To have 8 changes in our line up from last week and have a number of kids take their place against an experienced Eagles team, and win convincingly was a great effort.

Gee imagine the scoreline if the Eagles didnt receive a 19-13 free kick count.
West must of been very undisciplined ;)

Usually we are! Thought we were good today though...

Eagles only 2 goals in the last quarter were from frees, undisciplined play from west no doubt ;)

West far too good, once again. Lets hope Collins rests half the team in the last minor round game to give us a chance again.

Eagles were crap again against west !!
About time to bring in some youngsters from the seconds . They were down to 1 on the bench and still one by 80 points !!

And any news on the pup he lasted all of 5 minutes !!

Knew we were going to be woeful when we conceded 2 soft goals in the first 3 minutes. All day our kicking, out of defence and into attack, was atrocious. We never looked like threatening West all day, and had no plan going forward except Ainger. Hard to understand how we played so badly after showing heart in the last two games. I was never all that confident going into it, but even I was blown away at how dreadfully we played. Knowing us, we'll probably get up and beat Central but this sort of inconsistency is unbecoming of a side which aspires to finish in the top 3...

So as not to be completely negative, well done West...

Agreed, although there are plenty of decent non-youngsters in the seconds too.

Does Scott Blessing fall into this category? How has he settled into his new club? Great bloke, hope he finds more opportunities in the league side

Yes he does. Was in some great form in the reserves a month or two ago and got a couple of games in the league side.

Blesing is a far better player than some of the duds the Eagles rolled out today. Maybe the slowest SANFL side this century. Eagles got a cuddle from the umps and still got belted by our side that was missing some good players. If Rankine kicks 4 against you, you know you are slow and no good. Westies are only going just OK and yet gap between Nwd, Nth, West and then the rest is getting bigger from last year. 2013 a good case for final flu, not give.

And yet the Eagles have beaten Norwood and north in 2013 !!
But still have issues with West . players lost at training Friday night did not help the eagles cause !! Saying that how some Crows listed players get a game ahead of youngsters is surprising !!

Saying that takes nothing away from the fact the eagles were crap . The seconds showed them how to win 1 player on the bench and they still attacked .

I went to this game & what sh!t game it was, The 1st half was a boring half of footy 5 goals to 2.
I don't know why the Eagles even bothered to show up, they had no system at all, talk about embarrassing.

West too good, should have won by more.
Eagles gap between best and worst is far too big.

How can a team be consistent when you have 4 or 5 guys that play each week in the midfield that can't run and can't hit a target. Effort can only get you so far.....
Luke Powell needs to be dropped to the reserves too slow poor disposal. Kane, Poole, Carey b graders. Aaron Day looks like he's been on the Matty Duldig burger diet his efforts yesterday against no 20 for West were laughable. Joyce and Ellis Yolman getting games because they are crows players. As others have said time to try something different.

West beat nothing yesterday that's as poor an effort as i've seen even worse then when we got smashed by Sturt a few weeks back.

Arcade you know what, this is just like the couple of seasons after the 06 Fuller flag!
Horrible recruiting except Ainger, full of B graders, so we can't whinge about not being a top team.
In 07 and 08 all we brought in was Rimmo and Schwarz = 4th and 5th.
So that's where we are.... average
Godden and Hentchel are getting a nice reality check served up cold right in their faces, hopefully the penny will drop and they won't duck around THE MIDFIELD problem
People wrongly assume that when they continually see names in the best players like Powell and Lewis, that they are our best assets but the reality is they would be right in the thick of the oppositions best players also with their turnovers and lack of defensive pressure
Ofcoarse these two have good stats being around the middle playing give and go's and chippy chippy for 4 quarters!
FFS, let's play some more kid's.......

Dunstan and Appleton best and 2nd best in the Ressies. Straight in this week? Would like to see Karpany back in as well at some stage.

Joyce offers little IMO. Heath has been ok, but to be honest, if we aren't guaranteed getting Heath and Mitchell for finals, I'd happily let them go to the Magpies.

Rowntree and Giuffreda will be good to get back as well.
