Honestly, the Vic bullshit AFL, SANFL and all local clubs, have absolutely NO IDEA how to run a business !!!
I hope ALL the local clubs secede from the sanfl /afl, and run a West Lakes developement in total abhorance of
the Vic's expanded VFL / AFL trainwreck !!!

Doesn't ANYONE remember why the VFL started stealing our players and destroying the SANFL in the first place ???
Wake up! They couldn't even run their own competition at a profit and were going utterly broke without
invading interstate resources !!! I just don't understand current traitorus generations. GET BEHIND S.A. people !!!
What a pity our younger S.A. followers have NO IDEA about the truth !!!!!! Especially, c'mon REAL Port people,
face the truth and put South Australia first just like Bruce Webber should have done !

DEATH TO THE VIC / AFL !!!!!!!!

Does anyone remember if the $ given to the Power was a loan or a grant?

It was a grant from the SANFL. A loan to the SANFL from the AFL helped fund it. http://www.worldfootynews.com/article.p ... 0210208592

Have read several articles which says, while the SANFL will help SANFL clubs get their house in order, they won't provide bail out money.

So basically most cash flow relates to how well the AFL clubs are doing, besides any assets they might sell, until they can develop West Lakes to start generating income.

Yeah I knew they had to borrow to help Port out but wasn't sure if they had to pay it back.

Yeah Im sure a few years back they did their budgets on both teams drawing significantly more people than they currently do. That has probably hurt, like many businesses during the GFC.

This fact that it is a loan that Port got via the SANFL from the AFL and has to be paid back is constantly overlooked in the media. Journos constantly say how much money the AFL has pumped into Port but never state that its actually a loan. Most are Victorian scribes like Patrick Smith.....no idea at all.

Port get the cash, SANFL has to service the loan ... Port don't have to pay back a cent

Precisely! Which is why I no longer care if the Magpies don't continue in the SANFL. Cut the losses, tell em to **** off. The longer they stay the more trouble they'll make.
Before this one club bullshit began I would've given my own money to save the Magpies, I couldn't give a shit anymore.

easily corrected by selling the licences, investing in Footy Park & surrounding land, investing money from Adelaide Oval & spending money on SANFL clubs that need it.

After last week's effort, the League won't miss the Magpies and their whingeing followers as Norf's Grog Hogs will fill the void beautifully
