For those who are fluent in financial, can you explain in English what position the SANFL is in.

Financial hardship seems to be the key reason clubs could vote for the Reserves in the SANFL.

From a simpletons viewpoint, the SANFL has West Lakes to do with as it pleases, two AFL licenses it can potentially sell, income from SMA.

It would seem to me these things could be used to give financial strength to all SANFL clubs, and therefore the decisions to be made about the SANFL's future should be purely what is best for the game and the league.

What will the SANFL do with West Lakes and what position will that put them in financially currently and in the future?

What will the SANFL do with the AFL licenses and what position will that put them in financially currently and in the future?

What will the SANFL get out of the SMA and what position will that put them in financially currently and in the future? What are the risks?

All that land is almost on the doorstep of West Lakes Mall. If the oval was in a different position they could do housing straight across the road from the shops. They could build high class penthouses along that strip overlooking the mall, then make a nice community space behind it, playground, tennis courts a little square for old Russians to play chess in, stuff like that. On three sides I'd surround the square with housing and the penthouses would make up the fourth side. The further you travel east from that position the poorer the housing would become as it gets clser to the existing suburbs over that way. That's where the oval should be, because in my uneducated view the land over that side would be cheaper.

running these arsehole mobs and the cowardly members of the SANFL from a purely commercial point of view,
I'd be turning the members stands into a high tech luxury set of yuppy towers to maximise profits for evermore.
Honestly, the Vic bullshit AFL, SANFL and all local clubs, have absolutely NO IDEA how to run a business !!!
I hope ALL the local clubs secede from the sanfl /afl, and run a West Lakes developement in total abhorance of
the Vic's expanded VFL / AFL trainwreck !!!

Doesn't ANYONE remember why the VFL started stealing our players and destroying the SANFL in the first place ???
Wake up! They couldn't even run their own competition at a profit and were going utterly broke without

Dont know the details of the SMA income and AFL licence sale but would hope with these they could payoff/reduce debt that is no doubt weighing them down and the servicing of these now can be put back into grass roots footy ASAP.

Does anyone remember if the $ given to the Power was a loan or a grant?
