We watch more cartoons than normal tv. This one was pretty good. Nicolas Cages voice doesnt seem to match the character he plays, but other than that its pretty good.
Wow,even his voice can't act

I saw it last night at Marion, and I loved it. Which scene are you talking about?

Noticed it has polarized viewers judging by the discussions on IMDB.
I hate musicals, and Tom Cruise. Yet oddly I had to keep watching this one just because of the soundtrack, even though the casting of the main younger characters didn't have the right type of voice for most of the songs they covered.
Was a great reminder of how much excellent music there was in the 80's if you were into wigs and rock music.
And again, it pains me to say, Cruise was excellent in this.

James Franco and Danny McBride argument?
Audience was howling in that scene! The longer it went on, the funnier it got. McBride stole the show for me.
If you're not a fan of these guys, you'll hate every minute of this movie (and it is a pretty lazy movie in that it coasts on their likability.)
But I'm a fan so I was pi$$ing myself laughing a fair bit...

That scene and Jonah had my favourite line:
"Seriously, f@%koff."
