Very odd, not like they are struggling, 8 and zip at the half way mark of season. Wonder what that was all about? Rumour they may have a new player starting, supposedly will be the best player in the comp - big call!

Just enjoy each others company, little team bonding away from normal surrounds, all committing to the cause for a flag... I can only see it being a good sign

Watched the CY Cougars v Moonta game on Saturday, and was appalled with the actions of a Moonta A grade player. Belted a 17 year old lad 100 metres off the ball behind play. The kid had to go off with the blood rule.

Am all for a bit of a scrap in country football games but belting a kid, let alone behind the play, never has or ever will have a place in our game or society.

Was a similar incident in the APFL in which a young fella belted an older bloke behind the play. It's criminal charges off the field, too much leniency for coward acts like that in country footy IMO.

Kadina have 2 tough games coming up and moonta have 2 easy wins coming up. The bloods might slip too 5th behind moonta. Who would have thought moonta would be in the top 5 after the players they lost from last year. Good effort

pasky recruit dolling has claimed 5 best, a second best, 2 third best - in their first ten wins, would have to be a huge chance of the mail medal you would think.
who else will challenge?

What is the verdict on the new coach at Bute and the recruits Halliday, Lee, Switala?? I see big Prokopek is leading the goal kicking so he is obviously doing his job!

Does Mark Abell still play in this league?
How are the imports from Southern League going this year?

So what your saying is you really have no idea? Ron Lee was 3rd best for them on the weekend, and has been in their best most weeks, as has Halliday.

Calm down test. Tongue in cheek mate. But re-read what I wrote - prokopec is the only one worth the money that these lads are on. They can all play, but there are lots of better players around the league for less than they are. New recruit Fergus looks alright though. Wouldn't call them a success as a whole considering bute are about to miss only their 2nd finals series in 20 years.

Fair enough mate and regarding their worth I would have no idea what they get paid, so someone thats seen them more then me and knows the details can judge that!

I have heard from the Elizabeth football club that Matty G's Budget is around $10,000 a week. Im not trying to stir the pot. its just what ive heard around footy circles. Thats about $160,000 for the year.
I dont believe it. How can a club spend that much?
