Rowey standing up to him quite well.

Koch summed it up best at the start of the interview when he said he spoke BS for a living.

Delusional.

That was some A grade propaganda right there. Saying it's on the head of the Footy Commission and the SANFL if they 'force' Port to cut ties with its community - the same community that the majority of them have carried on about being forced to stay tied to since entering the AFL.

That's contrary to what Rob Chapman has been suggesting - he reckons there's $40 K available due to the hypothetical crowd numbers the Crows Reserves Team will bring to every game.

Sadly, I think the 'Men in Suits' are buying it :(

Maybe at your club but not all.

If clubs lose 10% of members /sponsors/patronage that's $400k a year for cdfc.

How $60k from reserves will offset this loss has me baffled

Not just my club mate.

If you heard the South Official talking on LifeFM on Saturday his words were "It looks like it will happen for 2014"

Yeh that Koch "interview" was a disgrace. Putting the blame on the SANFL if PAFC decide to close down the Magpies. Going on to talk about the community backlash that will happen if the Magpies do go. The f-wit can't see past his own ego of the community backlash from the other 8 clubs if it goes ahead.
This is a disgrace, forget about Magpie blood on anyone's hands, how about the blood of the entire SANFL on ****head Koch's hands. What a wank!

ONCE AGAIN, it's nowhere NEAR a done deal! The Crows & The Power have put forward their weak proposals, which were pathetic.
In the not too distant future, The SANFL clubs will go back to them with what WE want, which WILL NOT make the Crows or the Power happy at all!

If Port genuinely wanted to cater to the Port community, it would de-merge and set the Magpies free to represent that community. Local kids would come up through the system and could aspire to play league at Port - just like the other 8 SANFL clubs and their communities. With the smears taking over the league side, most kids coming up through the Port system would need to transfer in order to play league football. Most of those who were good enough for AFL would end up drafted to other clubs. Get your hand off it Kochy: do something useful and lobby the AFL to get a reserves comp up and running rather than the buggerising of a league which already caters to your local community.

I wonder if the de-merge option could ever happen. I seem to remember back a couple of years ago when the One Club thing happened there was some talk about people in Port Lincoln coming along as the white knight to save the Magpies.

Would it be fair to say the only reason the merger happened from a Power perspective was because they could then take over the Prince of Wales?

Koch has his head up his ar*e. What a whiney twit. You only have to have a skim read through a few of the Power forums on the net to realise that his opinions are shared by the blind power masses.

you all go on about koche but like rowey no one is still to put forward why port having a u/16 u/18 and reserves side will give them a advantage. The crows have said it doesn't care if Port have them, so to all you poster give 1 good reason why it will give port a advantage.

Funny that you Port people didnt care if this happened when you first entered the AFL.
You wanted to move to a better comp so why do you want to stay in an inferior comp?
No other AFL side has u16's or u18's, why should Port

Why do the SANFL have to provide any reasons to Port? It is Port trying to get things changed not the other way around. It is Port's responsibility to provide reasoning behind their proposal. It would be like someone wanting to paint my house. It's not up to me to provide them reasons why i don't want them to do it it's up to them to convince me that i should let them.

Hang on your so against the AFL teams having their reserves and want the integrity of the SANFL to be kept. But on the other hand you want to kick out 100 jnr's. Port Adelaide are not going to achieve anything from having a u16 or u18. The only thing it will do is increase the strength of SA Football, which is what you are fighting for.

More like someone wants to use paint stripper all over your house, screw it up and devalue it, because they don't give a sh$@ about you or the neighbourhood and it possibly might make their house worth more (though unlikely).

I'm pretty sure most people are against AFL reserves. Port magpies can stay in their current form. Pretty much like has been the way of the sanfl for the last 100 plus years.

So by that do you mean, port magpies stay as is with 'some' AFL players, and the rest spread around the other sanfl clubs .... as is currently the case?
