I would like to write some positives however there are none to report from this game. Regardless of the opposition we want competitive efforts from all twenty-one players in every contest and for the night we only had several players who could state that they gave they’re all. Obviously we at the moment are relying on too few.
The responsibility I have is to select players who are willing to compete regardless of scoreboard pressure or pressure from the opposition. At the moment the results are completely unacceptable. As we continue to develop our young list, we need to put in better performances now. Until we do this any written word is insignificant. If we have any pride – we will respond this week.

Granted, but what about the Glg goal (@ the northern end) which resulted from the umpire blowing his whistle, the Norwood player stopped to look back to why the ump blew the whistle, the ump calls play on and the Glg player with the ball runs into an open goal and kicks the goal. I can understand that sometimes the ump blows the whistle and then sees and calls play on, advantage, but plenty of times they don't need to blow the whistle before calling play on, advantage.

Just think, if it had been a hundred points closer then your mob might have been robbed!

I can not recall one baseball umpire that is not a former player...... not sure about other sports.
