May just be that the GSFL clearances list is more up to date than the SANFL clearances list.

As I understand it:

As Daniel has no junior/local club, he has sought to make Willunga his home club should he finish playing at South because this will makes his "points " value 0 instead of 4. Daniel is doing some work down there and has got to not a few from the club.

All good.

I heard he signed with Willunga but does that work? I know Victor got some on board before the point system came in so they'd be zero pointers but surely now it would go on where he played previously (ie South) before he starts playing for Willunga down the track?

As Willunga was not his junior club he would not be a 0 pointer. When/if he plays for Willunga he would be a 4 pointer surely?

Surely Bass would be a 4 pointer , however if any Club could find a loophole it would be Willunga . They are a very smooth operating outfit , love them or hate them they do things very well. Good luck to them if they get him for 0.
On the otherhand the Durdins situation is very interesting , along with Ashton-Place who will also having a crack back at South after the break. I will reserve my judgement on this for a couple of weeks , however I think everyone will put the puzzle together in time.

What that South are in the sh...t and need to recruit from the bottom team in GSFL. Mind you all 3 of those lads are high quality guys and would fit in anywhere. If you know something Old Blue New Tiger share it. :(

I think South would definitely be looking at them from that point of however I also think that given the GSFL are having the bye , South would be keen to look at them this weekend from that point of view , I heard they wanted to have alook at Ashton-Place this week to but he will be at Country Championships. The big problem for Yank will be if South like what they see . If South are not intereted then they would head back to Yank for the remainder of the season.

11 more painful sleeps to what? There is more to your story Old Blue New Tiger. One thing I will say is that you don't take a team to a GF if you can't coach. If that is your reference. :(

Yank Man I am refering to the fact if South see what they like in the Durdin lads and they decide to stay at Arctic Park and I believe Ashton - Place will be having a run also , that will put a huge amount of pressure on Yank come the next round given these 3 would the first picked at Yank. I find it very strange though why South would be chasing these lads from an already struggling Club , in the Durdin's situ it might be Bamford related , I think they would have played under him at Port ??

The last paragraph in the Yank v Goolwa / PE match report is a bit cryptic. Is that referring to an "in house" issue, the umpires or something one of our players did?

LF I think who ever did the write up was refering to the Umpiring , as he mentions it earlier .

Cheers for that OBNT, read some rants on here about the after game spray and wondered, he's a great guy and I respect him. What he needs now is full support from everyone. The Durdin boys possess height and quality and Ashton Place is dynamite quick and clever around the goals. South could do with that, but my advise to all of them would be to stay at Yank, support the club and the coach and help dig themselves out of the spiral. This team is way, way better than what is reflected. Sorry, but bugger South, the Tigers need ya's. :)

Congratulations to Darcy hourigan former Strathalbyn (jnr colt mail medalist) now south Adelaide under 18 player who after kicking 16 goals in the state u/18 carnival, was selected in the u/18 all Australian team. Darcy played mainly at centre half forward & kicked 3 goals in the final for sa. Let's hope he gets picked up in the draft for next year.

Reading the SANFL reserves results and South beat 2nd placed Sturt. J Durdin 1 goal and L Durdin in the best players. Guess they won't be coming back to Tigerland for a bit. :(
