Admission prices

Postby CENTURION » Wed Jul 03, 2013 5:54 pm

Why can't clubs charge what they like?
If Centrals & South are located in lower socio-economic areas, surely it should be made cheaper to attend the footy?
If it only cost $8 to get in to Elizabeth Oval, would attendances rise to the point that more money is being made than there was when it cost $14 to get in?

Apparently the clubs only make about $1.50 from each ticket sold. That information came from a person that visited my place of employment last week that is employed by the SANFL. You may know who I'm talking about. ;)

Or get more entertainment for kids. Like the jumping castles etc...

Hire "Duncs dunking machine " for half time entertainment . Get Brett duncanson to sit in the dunking machine and for $1 u get 2 throws. I'm sure he wouldn't complain if he actually made the SANFL some money

Just an idea . In sure im not alone in admitting I'd pay $5 if allowed to throw something at Duncs

Reckon that prices will reduce to $10 next year. This is the first off season that the new SANFL people can influence pricing.

My idea is to have the option to buy an admission ticket for say $20 which is redeemable for beer or food. You therefore get in for nothing if it is spent on beer or food. Most then would spend another $20 on beer which would generate more profit than a $1.50 per head to get in !
Needs work but you get my drift.

Admission won't come down, they will leave it at $14 and pretend they are doing people a favour in doing so

The SANFL Clubs will run their own Gates from 2014 onward so will have a lot more say in what the prices are. Also the ability to put in place tings like 3 game tickets and such.

the best way for people to actually support their club is to still buy home and season tickets.
