Firstly you could hardly say the AFL Reserves questions has, 'Come out of nowhere '. It has been about the place for at least 12 months and if Mr Tripodi had cared to look West he would have seen the writing on the wall well before that. Secondly how has the AFL, 'interfered' with the SANFL? Would that be the money put into an ailing SANFL competition by the AFL clubs over the past 20 years ? Is the Norwood Football club going to stop taking that money?

Dude, we just don't want AFL reserves in our comp. You can't just stamp your feet and cry each time things don't go your way.
It's our comp. Don't like it? Piss off!

Where's your proof on that?

And do you accept that the Crows making money for the SANFL who then bail out Port is the only reason your club is still around?

WRONG! The money the SANFL will make from selling the licences plus money from Adelaide Oval, Football Park AND not having to bail out Port can be put to saving clubs such as Sturt & West.

Not true.
We own AO and will collect rent off the 2 AFL sides forever.
The SANFL will also make money from the license sale plus the goldmine of land at West Lakes

Like Andy D has already stated many times Port and the Crows have the worse satdium deal in the AFL, if they were in any other state Port would be financial, which is the reason why the move to AO is happening.

And what happens when they spend all that money on saving clubs? why you recon the SANFL still want contact with the AFL? What happens when the AFL go stuff the SANFL start a reserves comp and build a new stadium in Adelaide.

Good luck with that kickinit, the new AO will almost bankrupt the state and we will still be paying for it in 100 years still so I cant see a new stadium being built in the near future so you will just have to keep paying rent to the SANFL or go play at Alberton

You do realise kickinit that with afl clubs in the sanfl then the Magpies as we know it will not be around in as little as one year?

My understanding is that the numbers for both Crows and Port at Adelaide Oval are not as favourable as first thought...

Some quite outlandish assumptions made apparently.

Get ready for some "unprecedented revenue writedowns"?

Must have had Wayne Swan and Penny Wong doing the sums.

How many business plans have Port produced about crowd numbers and revenue and how many have come even close to being accurate?

If they were weather forecasters we'd all be told it will be 28C tomorrow.

I don't think it will be quite that bad.

However it will only be good for the clubs if the crowds turn up. If they continue to get 15,000 to matches they are doomed regardless of the stadium deal.

The move assumes more people turning up. Recent history suggests otherwise.
