The Magpies must and will stay in SANFL but the POWER reserves can nick off to the VFL reserves competition.
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Hit em hard let them get up and hit em again.

That won't happen and if the PAFC did end up getting to play in another comp interstate they couldn't because keep the SANFL set up purely because of the cost factors.

Thank you Joe. Perfectly said. The rest of the SANFL have definitely got me worried. The noise I am hearing is they will roll over.
And as for Chapman and his supposed comment, yet to be clarified?, if he did say that , then he is an idiot. IMHO.

I don't understand this argument. Port Adelaide's number 1 focus is the AFL and has been for a long time. It would be great if Port Magpies could be their own stand alone SANFL club, but it clearly isn't viable. An 8 team SANFL comp will be fine and will be a lot better than the alternative of having AFL Reserves competing in the league competition.

Never thought I'd say this, but go Norwood. I hope this will be the first of eight similar announcements.

On the Adelaide Now website, only 213 out of 405 voters support Tripodi's stance. A sign that local footy supporters are up against it...

No, that's a sign that 192 out of 405 voters support only AFL.

I was so peed off with some of of these AFL nitwits comments on the Adelaide Now site that i posted this little snippet so fellow SA Footy followers keep posting and let them all know we are not happy !!!!

Leon Lecornu post 14 thats right the AFL gets over a billion dollars from TV rights so i suggest the CROWS and the POWER lobby the AFL to spend some of that money into the VFL competition which really already is partly the AFL reserves. Most of us loyal SANFL lovers and purists do not want to see our competition compromised and possibly destroyed we did not turn our backs on the SANFL like most South Australians back in 1990 and then in 1997. The Magpies brand must stay in the SANFL therefore the POWER reserves can nick off and go and play in the VFL quite simple i think. NO AFL IN THE SANFL !!!!!!!!!!!

Who cares! And just to annoy them make them play in the power jumper and mothball the prison bar jumper after all the Magpie Reserves, 18's, 16's and zones will be gone may as well bury everything B&W! :D

Wouldn't think you would get many Crows supporters even if they ended playing in the League Comp. The figures proposed by Chapman are made up and fantasy.

Bitter about what FFS - I just love bagging the selfish self centred PAFC and the "less than intelligent" people who are blinded by the BS and follow it! If the cap fits then wear it!

I was once of the opposing view to OTR, but Port have really forced the SANFL's hand on this.
They've done it twice now, which is once too many for me, I guess I would be bitter to lose the Magpies from our league, but I think the motivations to chuck them out are founded in sensibility.
Two times is once too many. Can't be trusted anymore.

Norwood very outspoken on the issue.

=D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
Here's the gist of the article, and some of my favorite sentiments from it:

"The SANFL has been interfered with enough by the AFL in the way they've treated us," Tripodi told The Advertiser.

"Now, out of nowhere, they want to put a reserves team in our league.

"Hello, we are playing for premierships and grand finals.

"Why would we want an interruption to that? We're sick of it."

The Eagles Chairman should step up and back Tripodi to the MAX.
