Sounds like you are giving them up.

Where did I say that?

I am not getting too worked up over it because I am confident it won't happen. If it does I will be fighting it tooth and nail.

EDIT: Or did you mean it sounds like the club are giving them up? If so that is not what I have heard. It may have been asked of us but it is not something we are considering an option from what I have been told.

They are already in there all the way, all they want to do is swap in power reserve players for non power reserve players.
I still think under this model they can't keep their entire recruiting zone though.

Here's the gist of the article, and some of my favorite sentiments from it:

"The SANFL has been interfered with enough by the AFL in the way they've treated us," Tripodi told The Advertiser.

"Now, out of nowhere, they want to put a reserves team in our league.

"Hello, we are playing for premierships and grand finals.

"Why would we want an interruption to that? We're sick of it."
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

It's like one of those speccies where all supporters get up to cheer.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Hooray! Finally some strength shown by a club against this issue. Lets hope they follow through in their thoughts and at least two other clubs share the same opinion. Glad it is the SANFL's biggest club leading the way.

It's great they've come to their position and outlined it publicly, at least there's now two opposing views officially in public.

But I'm pleased that my club are actually going to wait for all information and then make a decision, it seems a more prudent way to operate.

I think they may well from what my "sources" tell me as a result of the proposdal models given by each the AFC and PAFC. At best they may get the nod to play in the Reserves Comp unless there is some dramatic change in what they are proposing.

I'm hearing similar things as well. Most clubs are willing to listen to Reserves level proposals but League competition is off the table.

If the Magpies were left to play in the SANFL reserves as the Powers reserves side how many Port supporters on here will travel all over the city to watch them week in week out?

Who cares! And just to annoy them make them play in the power jumper and mothball the prison bar jumper after all the Magpie Reserves, 18's, 16's and zones will be gone may as well bury everything B&W! :D

Wouldn't think you would get many Crows supporters even if they ended playing in the League Comp. The figures proposed by Chapman are made up and fantasy.
