Talk on the national game

Hawks look good at the moment. Rioli was a big one to lose as he adds that pace up forward. But in saying that you always look much faster when you have the ball and having Hodge back and firing in that midfield really takes them to another level. Lock them in for a top 4.

Buddy winning hearts & minds:

"I was pretty disgusted and pretty shaken up after the event, which is why I posted it on Facebook," Ms Rowsell told the Herald Sun last night.

"It was really aggressive, impolite and sexist. You can't go around treating people like rubbish, just because you are an AFL player," she said.

"He's a 6-foot-5 strong footballer and I'm a 5-foot-2 petite girl, so it was pretty intimidating.

"To have someone standing over me, yelling in my face, was pretty obscene."

She had said on Facebook that she had the "pleasure" of an argument with Franklin.

"What an absolute disgrace of a human being," she said in her post.

"Rude, obnoxious, arrogant, sexist, a pig and an all-round rude human.

"You are nothing more than a cashed-up bogan that can kick a ball."

im actually mildly curious as to what started the altercation. supposedly Buddy has hit twitter insinuating the lady involved started it. its still no excuse if she did for his behaviour, but ill have less sympathy for her if she did infact insult him (or his friends) first.

Yep agree,

I'm sure if she didn't start it she would have responded by now on twitter or Facebook etc

No wonder she accepted the apology and wants it to end there because if more comes out she will be found out as a trouble making slag

It's not the first time these sort of allegations have been made about him, a bit of tall poppy syndrome IMO.

keen to get a few views on this article about buddy n roughy.

http://www.theroar.com.au/2013/06/26/ro ... han-buddy/

if buddy leaves hawks

roughy starts getting best defender and 2/3 men on him at a time.
he wont be doing what hes doing now.

I think Gunston is coming along very nicely.
Another 5kg on his frame and I reckon he will become a very formidable forward...

Smart forward, good set of hands and a very good set shot for goal, nice and simple. Hawthorn have done well getting him to the club.
