Always going to be up against it when two of our better on ballers withdrew late and our usual captain who was out injured had to suit up and try to fill a void in a pocket in patches, then to pick up 2x injuries early in the 1st quarter and having a very inexperienced bench was tough going. Disappointed because WE ARE not a 9 goal worse side than Mitchell Park!
I know there is a history and rivalry between MP & IF, but from my perspective with the lads in the C grade it has nothing to do with these kids or this grade, and none would even have any idea about history between the clubs. Having said that I am appreciate to Mitchell Park who were good enough to allow us to use their ball for the entire match since we were unable to provide oneand also for using Luke McDonnell sparingly instead of sticking him in for the whole match to dominate young inexperienced kids again.
Should never have to even say that though, it's absolute f*cking bullsh!t that the rules allow someone whose been playing A grade to drop two grades!

What happened to him? He's a customer at my work and seems a nice bloke.

I agree, even on the day I reckon the sides were more evenly matched than the scoreboard suggested, A couple of moments of class here and there from some vets but that's it.Phantom Gossiper wrote:Given we produced arguably one of the worst efforts in a very long time vs MP. Ah c'mon, we definitely lifted for you blokes, there was a few "we hate these guys!" calls with a couple more expletives in the pre-match warm ups.Phantom Gossiper wrote:I know there is a history and rivalry between MP & IF, but from my perspective with the lads in the C grade it has nothing to do with these kids or this grade, and none would even have any idea about history between the clubs. Luke didn't play A Grade last week. His last game was against Adelaide Uni where he hurt his back. Didn't play against WOS last week so even with the old rules we could have played him.Phantom Gossiper wrote:Should never have to even say that though, it's absolute f*cking bullsh!t that the rules allow someone whose been playing A grade to drop two grades!

Phantom Gossiper wrote:My issue has nothing to do with Mitchell Park or Luke or anything like that, my point is that it's stupid and unfair that the provision is there in the league that a club if they wanted to could drop a player from A to C grade, I think it creates a world of possible headaches and problems - what happens if a clubs A & B grade look very likely playing finals and C grade are on the cusp, what's to say the club might decide to give some B graders experience in A grade and push half a dozen A graders to C grade to help push them up into the finals?
