As it was the first time I have played the course, I can't comment on what it has been like. Overall I didn't mind the course (even though it didn't like me lol) and would go back there again. Greens were quite soft and didn't have a lot of roll on them.

Day was a good one and made better by the fact my playing partner and I took out the win overall :)

Played Clare (Clare's a fat girls name) Golf Club on Sunday morning. First time there - and I really liked it.
Great morning for it too

got back from bali last week and we played nirwana.
Apart from playing one of the worst rounds of my life, was a beautiful course, very challenging. If you strayed from the fairway, it almost always required a penalty drop to get another shot.
The fairways were in top condition but I was a bit disapointed with the greens, they were very slow and dead in spots. Caddies were spot on in reading the greens.
I would be interested to see what the other Bali courses are like as they are alot cheaper then Nirwana. I will try upload a few pics from the day.

I really really like Kapunda. Only nine holes, but a nice open well maintained course.

In the summer I would drop my daughter off home in Gawler River, and then drive up there to play nine. Some interesting holes and for a public country course, it's a great little place to play.

Playing the new east course at Grange on Friday. I won a silent auction not long ago, so myself and 3 other high handicappers are heading out to lose a dozen or so balls each. ;)

just got in

pulled up at course a fraction before 1pm

pouring down with rain

one guy in a 4WD had set up and was standing in the rain with umbrella waiting for the rain to pass, he gave it about 10 mins before packing up and leaving

just as he hopped into his car the rain had really stopped to a drizzle, so i got out set up and away we went

rain poured down during the second hole and I waited a few minutes before teeing off in the rain on the 3rd. it was sporadic after that until i finished the 7th and the blue skies were appearing and clouds a little less threatening.

there were a few greens that were heavily affected by the rain
I had the course to myself

I dont mind playing in the rain, but i didnt have wet weather gear on me, as i need some new gear.

onto the golf

now I ended up using a slightly new technique off the tee, which wasnt deliberate at the time, but when it worked i decided to concentrate on it. i was getting a nice draw on the drives, aim slightly right and the ball with the help of some of the natural roll of the fairways would roll back towards the middle or just slightly left.

I have no idea how but i went around in an 87

i love the wet conditions, can go hard at the pin with some confidence the ball will stick. today i used my PW and GW more than i had before and that seemed to give me some really good results

9 holes yesterday at The Vines for a 45

played quite well, my little change to my driving has helped me improve enormously with consistently going straight down the guts and am also hitting further more regularly. Im not too fussed about distance, im more concerned with accuracy, but this little change has seen a big improvement in both

watch out Rory the Mighty Tiger is gonna hunt you down

Played Tanunda Pines yesterday for the first time

Started on the 6th, finished on the 5th

First 9 holes I could see around 30m and that was it, from fog. Horrible

Really nice though, liked the course (once I could see it). Finished with some 6s and managed a 91 so wasn't unhappy.

looking forward to another round tomorrow morning

I do hope that the rain buckets down tonight and stops for a few hours tomorrow and then it can bucket down tomorrow night as Glenelg beat norwood in what will look like the rugby union
