Pietersen isn't over-rated. Obviously comparisons to Bradman are pointless.

His recored as posted by m80's does speak for itself, and so do these stats:

2 of his 8 hundreds have been against Australia
6 of 9 fifties have been against Australia

Career average: 54.40
v Australia average: 53.50

How many batsman who have played 2 series against Australia average 50+
To take on OOH AHH, WARNNNNNNNEY,CLARK,LEE etc and do that is of
a very good batsman not an over-rated batsman.
He has 2 scores of 158 against one of historys most lethal attacks.

Flattest track in world cricket (easily) which negated mcgrath and lee to military meds (and mcgrath was clearly unfit with his blisters, and had no rough at that stage- it did in the 2nd dig and he got sweet FA (when it mattered). Good knock but not enough to convince me he's a champion.
He is a flat track bully IMO but a very entertaining one!!!!

It's pretty easy to score 158 then ....? How many others did it that test on the 'flattest track in world cricket'. Sounds like each team scored 2,000?

Don't understand these Pierterson queries ... is this more about arguing with Mal??? :D

PIETERSON 206 WEST INDIES 287 in both innings
EG lead 1-0

SARWAN out for the rest of the series with a shoulder injury
FLINTOFF is having an operation on his ankle and out for the series ????

That could explain why the West Indies played so crap - they wouldn't have ever experienced temperatures that low, let alone played cricket in them!

Did I say it was easy Hondo? And yes, Collingwood scored a double century in the same innings and he is hardly world class, nor does he strike fear into the heart of warney like pieterson does
And yes teams probably would score 2000 in the first dig on adelade oval if they wanted- but you have to bowl at some stage to win a test match, twice in fact!! Hence they declare
You wont hear any more from me cos it's not a huge issue really- Hes a good player and is entertaining-fullstop (for me anyway_)

No offence mate .... the way you wrote it made it sound like Jim Higgs could have made 100 that day. But now doesn't sound like that was what you meant.

I have a beef about minimising great efforts like big 100s or 10 goals. Even if conditions are favourable you still have to do the deed on the day IMO.

Adelaide oval is a flat track
KP cashed in on it
As do the Australian batsman who play there more often than KP
