I thought Neil Craig said when he took the Melbourne assistant job he would never take a head coach job again because the only team he ever wanted to coach was the Crows?

Timing strange in my opinion. But it was done with minimal blood loss I guess.

I think they were just waiting to make sure the AFL will pick up their tab with Neeld before they sacked him.

So a new CEO, new President and now a new Coach. But a majority the people responsible for (lets be honest) a few recruiting blunders and stifling the development of most of their top picks over the years still remain?

Sounds like this was the case. As soon as the AFL said yes, bang he was shown the door!

Pointless trivia..Mumbles' last game as Crows coach was a 100+ point loss to St Kilda. His first game as Dees' coach will be against St Kilda. Hopefully a similar margin, but i doubt it.

Craig is only interim coach and won't be going for the head coach so he is sticking to his word IMO

Yes, I can't see Craig wanting the senior position next year. Who would?

A rookie senior coach would be mad to apply. MFC is a career killer.
