Nor is it 'brave' to punch a player, not expecting contact of that nature and watching the ball, in the mid-riff, as Luke Jarrad did to Kyle Jenner...

Obviously the incident involving Todd Miles and James Boyd has been caught on camera...

Well Jenner can consider himself very lucky re his front on charge at Ryswyk if the Miles punch is the only report out of the game.

Might still be being looked at? Seeing the replay last night, Jenner would have got 2 weeks in the AFL, I'd suspect, so if not reported, perhaps he was lucky. In full speed it looked pretty bad, but having the luxury of slowing it down, Jenner was going for the ball, it was just an unfortunate (but couragous on Ryswyk's part) footy collision.

Jumps into the air with a raised forearm which makes contact with his head AND knowing a bloke is running towards looking back for the ball coming over his shoulder? His intent was clear.

Hard to make a case for "he was going for the ball", would have been an amazing mark let alone spoil with your forearm raised parellel to the ground?

And there wasn't even a 25 metre penalty. Ryswyk did goal anyway, but the umpires seem so pedantic about dealing out 25 metres when someone goes over the mark by an inch or takes a millisecond too long to hand the ball back but when there is an incident that probably should be reported they don't have the balls to at least impose a 25 metre penalty.

I wonder why? The way the north players attacked Jenner afterwards lucky the free wasn't reversed.

Oh and I suppose the Centrals players wouldn't have done the same thing if roles were reversed?

Off course they would have stuck up for their team mate. Maybe that's why no further penalty was paid so now we move on to next week.

I don't think either team would want that incident looked at given the amount of punches that were thrown in the scuffle afterwards. Both teams would be without a few players this week.

Lets call it even considering Max Thring and number 13 both dropped players well off the ball and got a way with it.

It seems that punches to the kidneys or stomach are not taken as seriously as ones to the head.

It had to either be a reversal or a twenty five metre penalty. The do nothing attitude of the umpire added to the ugly spectacle of the melee. The most interesting and nicest part of the whole incident was Paul Thomas showing genuine concern for Ryswyk.

Wasn't so long ago North supporters were laughing at Sturt supporters and at Crane after having his eye split open by a clumsy high tackle, no free was paid. Now you muppets are crying foul! What goes around I guess.

Except it wasn't a clumsy high tackle. It was a clash of heads where Crane's head turned straight into Clinch's head. I didn't hear any North supporters laughing about it. It was an unfortunate accident.

And I don't hear too many North supporters crying foul at the moment either.

Nice bit of fiction there mate. I'm guessing you are referring to the incident with Clinch, who didn't get sited, yet Crane lost the plot when he came off the ground? Whats the free kick got to do with it? Stick to ya shitty wooden boats. ;)

You're right there. The replay looks nasty, even when taking into account the difference between SANFL and AFL rulings.
