Gee, North went the knuckle a bit, didn't they? The niggle on Boyd especially was relentless.

Definitely a bit of Maurie Francou in their approach today, I guess they think it shows they're hard. But if they directed that vigour into their tackling rather than after the tackle/disposal, or off the ball, then I think they may have stood up a little better.

Not sure if Boyd was played in the centre much at all today - was that simply to lead Thingy away from the ball?

Great mark. Amazing leap with genuine hang time. Anyone who's played footy knows that was a mark.

Nonsense. Plenty of people who played (some at high levels) remarked about the hands. They thought it was a free.

Ah, very witty. So you think punching a bloke on the ground while he's clearly hurt is ok? I don't think it's ever ok. If someone from Centrals did it once upon a time I think the same thing. Weak. My opinion, unlike yours, is determined by actions not the colours a bloke happens to be wearing when he does them.

Mate as a neutral supporter I sat amongst several sections of Centrals supporters today and the rubbish coming out of their mouth I'm not surprised to hear you think that wasn't a mark. If you analyse any decision you can dissect and find a technicality. Ablett , Capper and Dunstall wouldn't have kicked a goal if they let peanuts yelling for contact have their way. It was a great mark that should have been paid. There is a massive difference between a touch for balance and pushing off the shoulders. But alas I am wasting my time I fear trying to explain this to someone who doesn't have analytical ability.
If that's not a mark our game will suffer. Let the game go

he dropped it anyway.
Great day, Walked there from Campbelltown, had a great time with Wedgie, Drebin, UKFan & VANESSA! (you must have a big willy, Wedgie, she's FAR too good for you ;) )
North played really well for the first 15 minutes, thought We were going to lose by 10 goals!
After that, North seemed to play like they were unsure about how to attack, very hesitant, went out wide a lot, fumbled heaps. Gotta be the best year of SANFL footy for years!

I would have certainly paid it as a mark as well. Use of hands was very marginal, most of the leap was from his legs - very spectacular mark. A lot of Central supporters around me booed when the ump paid a free to us for it. Maybe technically correct by the umpire (just) but, really, in the spirit of the attempt, pay the mark!!

Regardless of "technically correct decision" it was definitely a mark and the by far the best one on one screamer I've seen since Modra.

That summed up our day - not a lot went right! We started well but buckled under Centrals pressure and to be honest we were lucky we were not 5 goals down at 1/4 time and never looked likely after the first 15 minutes.

No doubt the Dogs are back and this season has now shaped up as a very competitive one for the teams 1-7.
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

An enjoyable win. Wish I'd seen the screamer that never was. Pay them!
WHUFC - Reichert getting better? I see O'Hara played well again - how was his disposal?
Great to see Tommy Dunne doing well. I like his booming kick - let's just hope he kicks straighter.
Hope the mini-league lad is doing okay.

ok, it WAS a spectacular leap and there were hands in the back to get him up there, Modra did it for years & so did Capper BUT in my opinion, he didn't hold it for long enough.

Ah, like Ablett's over Gary Pert? I can't believe people call that a mark, even after all of these years.

He probably gave North 2 goals thru his poor disposal

Reichart was brilliant on Gordon, no surprise his improving now he has the quality of hardy, Thomas, Goodrem, Symes all playing in the back line more often and his not playing on blokes that are 10cm taller and 10kg heavier than him

O'Hara was great but his kicking is still letting him down at times, i think at times he just tries to kick the ball to 'hard' which has ended in a few costly errors.
